Well that's sad news. I must have watched every programme ever made about FM, what an incredible line up since the first beginning's In the late 60's, Peter Green, Danny Kirwan then eventually Lindsey Buckingham, and Jeez he can sure play. One of the programmes Is about the making of Rumours and the turmoil and In fighting around the making of the album, Christine McVie Is so honest and open during the filming of the programme, she had almost a unique voice and she was so musically talented. Anyway RIP good lady, you'll be sorely missed.

Ah that's very sad. I watched a documentary about her about a year ago, on BBC2 I think and was so impressed with her.
I'd listened to the albums obsessively at times as a teenager, and she came across as such an interesting balance of pure talent and modesty. RIP Christine.

I wore out three vinyl copies of Rumours, I really loved that album and until streaming, the CD was still getting plenty of usage. Great band, great singer and she will be sorely missed. RIP.

I went to Walpole Grammar School in Ealing with Johnny Mac (as was his nickname then). 90% there were Brentford supporters, 10% were R's fans. Johnny Mac didn't play in the school team but he was a regular in the lunchtime playground kickabouts, until he bought a three stringed guitar and asked Mr Howells, the music teacher to help him learn to play bass. After that, it was goodbye footie, hello music. Johnny Mac left school - as most did in those days at 16 - to be employed working on PAYE returns in the local tax office. After playing in local bands in the evenings, he left the Civil Service a year later and joined John Mayall's Blues Breakers in 1964..... and as they say, the rest is history!!!!
