"Mobido Maiga who contributed so little he probably should have been charged for admission". I also didn't realise LTC was actually playing (HastingsRanger) until he was substituted & he could have been charged admission as well....junior prices. |

IMO Adel needs to mix up his game a bit more & improve his decision making, he has an excellent passing range both short & long but needs to make the most of it for the benefit of the team. As already mentioned previously a few quick passes would get the opposition thinking a bit, particularly when they double up on him as the main attacking threat. Sometimes the most effective pass is a simple one.... |
| News Comment | QPR left to count the cost of Hughes’ false ambition at 20:30:15
I always thought Hughes had his "media head" on all the time which made him sound a bit arrogant & aloof. A bit of an iceberg approach with all the activity going on beneath the surface, however it seems it was more like the Titanic....sinking fast! |

Taarabt started to apply himself defensively & added that to his game towards the end of last season, when as previously stated he was in good form. He's got to offer the team more than SWP's "running about a bit" approach with little end product? Is he the victim of MH trying to be compact & keep defensive shape, all good but it didn't happen in the 2nd half on Sunday @ WHL. Adel be a good impact sub & should get some game time v Reading in the cup, as a way back. |

Mark Hughes has been given backing by the board & now probably has the best opportunity for a QPR manager for years to progress. It's all down to him & the coaches now to set up the team & get them performing, work out his best team & tactics. Stopping the comedy defending would be a start.. |

A fortunate point that I think most would have settled before the game, following the previous Swansea result & better than we got their last season. Although this is basically a new team the current level of performance is concerning following the pre-season prep' they have undergone. It will take time to settle in the heat of Premier League battle & we would have reasonably expected a better start, however lucky the point shows some green shoots of recovery. Naive not to be able to deal with the threat of Holt who is basically an old fashioned centre forward who likes to bully anyone he can....opposition players, refs & even his own club into a new contract. How long are the refs & their assistants going to let him get away with the blindside holding, turning & collapsing in the box at the slightest contact? If anyone should now how to deal with a players of this type is should be MH? Last season Norwich found a way to be effective through Holt, Johnson & Hoolahan etc. They knew their best team & how they wanted to play. Not sure Rangers ever got that far apart from the 5 game winning home run. Rangers need to go back to basics & learn to be hard to beat first, to me Traore doesn't have a defenders instincts & is continually caught wrong side of his man & doesn't do enough to get back. As good as he is on the ball & going forward we need some better defensive cover. Despite his excellent attitude is Clint Hill a Prenier standard centre half & Onuha doesn't look happy as a full back to me either? I can't believe MH (+ coaches) isn't aware of at least some of this & has already promised us we won't be in a relegation battle again. Far too soon to panic but needs to show progress soon, which will be tricky with the upcoming league fixtures. |

Who signed off on a contract with Lotto that gave them 8 months notice for changes.......oh we probably know the answer to that one?? I know there have been other priorities but the badge needs to change it is an embarrsement. |
| News Comment | Coroner’s report on Chelsea massacre — tactics at 13:04:41
I think Myke has a point re' Zamora as if he had dropped deeper it would have effectively let them have a free back 4 to bring the ball out, which Cole & Terry are comfortable enough with. Perhaps it would have been better to try & force either Boswinga or Ferrera to try & play it out? But this would probably mean going to abandoning the 451 that had brought success recently & going 442 that MH thought may be too risky away? Obviously they were overun in midfield, picked off at will (missing Diakite's athleticism & mobility) & as mentioned this was made worse by giving the ball away cheaply through unforced errors & not executing the basics correctly in defence. All made worse by going behind so early on. A bit academic now though.. |
