Another excellent review and bang on the money as usual. I was gutted when Eze left, but would be distraught if we lost Illy. He lives and breathes this football club and I have never seen anyone more committed than this lad. How anyone can complain about any aspect of his game is beyond me and to never have won the player of the season award is a travesty. As for the strikers, their continued involvement at this club hinges on some serious scrutiny during pre-season. All have much to prove and little time to do it. I’m erring on the side of ditching them all, but trust Marti to decide if there is anything there to work on. Not convinced there is. Still, to sit in the warm glow of what might be next season under the stewardship of our new and improved management structure feels great. More than we could possibly have dreamed of just a few months ago. Enjoy your break Clive and well done for getting us through another tumultuous season. Quite frankly, you got us all through it. Roll on next season and the return of the dreaded “hope”. Uuurrrrrssss. |

I’ve never seen a player look more miserable playing football than Dozzell. For me, he just wasn’t remotely enjoying it and would rather be doing something else. Again, very much feels like he was playing because his dad pushed him into it. Andre, use the money you “earned” in football and find something in life that brings you some joy in life. |

Saved by one of, if not the best striker in the league. Smozdics will be sold in the summer, but way too expensive for our modest means. |
| Forum Reply | Chris Willock at 08:56 5 May 2024
Always rated Willock, exceptional talent when in the mood. If he does go, won’t miss him half as much as when Eze left. Having just listened to Marti’s post match interview and the need for “accurate” decisions, I feel more than comfortable that he will be adequately replaced. Genuine optimism for what’s to come, now we appear to have grown ups running the club (just don’t let the owners interfere). |

Henderson and Rashford will get the nod before Eze…absolute Joke. |

JCS for me….quality above all else. Imperious yesterday and throughout the season. Class. Cook…the leader of the team and an example in professionalism personified. Without these two we would have been dead and buried long ago. Chair…has dropped off in recent weeks, but as mentioned elsewhere, carried this team in the early part of the season. No arguing that Dunne goal either. |

I’ve been one of his biggest critics, but do hope he finally produces something of note against Preston and I will gladly eat humble pie for the rest of the week. In the meantime, will be shopping for stir fry and pasta dishes. |

I always preferred the “Golden Goal” idea. First to score in extra time decided the tie. |
| Forum Reply | Three is the cursed number as QPR fall in a hole at Hull - Report at 19:10 15 Apr 2024
No complaints from me about effort and commitment, we were outplayed and comprehensively beaten by a much better team. Find it odd that Hull have struggled so much at home recently. Very much looked like a dads v lads game to me. We need to put that one behind us and focus on Preston. Great report by the way. |

Can’t say I entirely agree. Willock imo was our best player and the most likely to score. Anderson looked completely lost and was rightly hooked at half time. Chair was ok, got some crosses in, no one there as usual. Agree that as a three behind the striker, it is just not working and Marti would be foolish to stick with it against what will be a season defining game next week. Dykes crosses were………….interesting to say the least. |
| Forum Reply | We Just Dont Get Enough From Our Strikers at 14:28 13 Apr 2024
Dykes is pony, defending his contribution, or lack thereof, is delusional. Seny Dieng has scored as many away goals as Dykes across the last two seasons. How much evidence is needed? |
| Forum Reply | Goals - Hitting Targets at 09:33 13 Apr 2024
Agree. There’s a perception on here that if we sling more crosses in Dykes et al will get on the end of them. Complete baloney. Time to ditch the target man nonsense and get a striker in that will complement the 3 technical midfielders behind him and is adept at finding the net working in tight spaces. Another lump up front is not what is needed. |

I bet he’d score more than Dykes if he only played 14 times in the next two years. We shouldn’t be touching this type of signing with a barge pole however. |
| Forum Reply | To Hull and back - Preview at 09:07 13 Apr 2024
In simple terms, our defence have been exceptional ( rag hands excluded of course) and our forwards utterly useless. That Dykes stat on twitter is embarrassing, for him and for us. What club is likely to pay anything for a striker that contributes so little. Unless we pay off his contract in the summer, we are stuck with an expensive bench warmer for next season. Can’t see us winning this one. They have goals in abundance from all over the pitch. We can’t hit a cows arse with a banjo, unless one of our defenders bails us out…..again. Philogene will tear Fox a new one if he plays at left back today. |
