THOMAS FRANK SACKED...

I went to the stadium to watch Saracens play and the views were good with large Screens in the corners to get a closer look at the opposite ends (not like QPR 's poxy screen that rarely works or lasts for more than 30 seconds before switching off. Also , plenty of food and drink places. Would lov3 to see QPR play Spurs there.

EFL clubs to vote on expanding Championship playoffs to six clubs
at 16:06 12 Feb 2026

I get it, QPR are a poor mediocre Championship side, (which is why I never understood fans in January 2015 thinking that relegation back to the Championship might be a good way to regroup and rebuild the club) but my point was that in the seasons of finishing 9th and 11th, they were 1 win away from a top 8 finish and maybe, just maybe, going all out to get those 3 points could have won a play off spot.

I know it isn't to everyone's liking, but it gets my approval.

All those complaining about the extra games, it's just 1 more game for those outside the top 4.

My thoughts exactly. CPR have already helped Ipswich, Southampton, Norwich to wins at Loftus Rd this season when struggling for points, along with Portsmouth last season, so why not help out Blackburn (who often win this fixture - I missed the most recent last 2 QPR home wins against them).

I know this but maybe , just maybe it might inspire them just a little bit more i.e, in Warburton's last 2 seasons QPR might just have won 1 more game to make the top 8.

This nearly always happens to those that finish in the top 2 anyway. Burnley this season look like they will be relegated. Last season it was Leicester and Ipswich.

If QPR went up by finishing 8th and then got relegated it would be no different to when they went up as Champions (2 seasons) and play off winners (1 season). The gulf between the 2 leagues is huge.

At least with the EPL & parachute monies, if spent wisely and included huge paycuts or deferred wages if relegated, would allow the club to rebuild. Bournemouth and Fulham seem to be doing this after a few yo-yo seasons.

Mind you, it might be the only way QPR will reach the play offs again.

QPR being sued

It seems to be free only if I accept all their cookies., which according to advice I saw on a TV programme, is not good.

But as I was posting the article was also posted.

I don't subscribe to the Guardian so cannot read the article. What is the law suit about?

This is why he is not performing well.
I watched the game on a stream with commentary from Charlton fans. One of them was questioning why Saito was on the right wing. He recalled seeing him at the earlier fixture coming on as a sub and playing in a central role and how good he played.

I also noted a comment on the BBC site about the lack of crosses, not surprising given our inverted wingers. I watched MotD and noted a few goals scored from crosses put in by wingers using the correct foot for the wing they were playing from.
There's a reason why QPR are not scoring goals like those.

Perhaps Stephan should watch the highlights and take note. Maybe we can see Smyth & Saito on the correct flanks against Blackburn and even see attempts or goals from crosses into the penalty area.

Well done to him, he made the saves when needed, looked confident and his distribution was good.

In fairness to Saito he isn't a right winger. He should gave been on the left with Smyth on the right. Or even better, in a no.10 role. Vale was very poor in that role and Koĺli should have been played there when he came on.
Stephan's team selections and tactics are costing QPR points.

This 4 away draws and 1 loss against teams that could easily have been beaten.

Portsmouth WBA Stoke (injury hit squad) Oxford and now Charlton. To be fair Portsmouth played well and could have beaten QPR on Boxing Day.

That was probably the most enjoyable watch of that pathetic 1st half.

Absolutely dire. There was a ball to Vale near the half way line where he had time to turn and run forward with the ball and he took a touch and played the ball back to Edwards!!!

Vale is having a poor game and should switch to the left wing with Smyth moving to the right and Saito in the no.10 role.

QPR also need to stop hitting long balls towards Kone or Saito. The ball just keeps on coming back after their defenders win the ball back.

Stephan should also go back to leaving 3 players forward when defending corners.

Overall, this first half has been in keeping with the last 4 away performances at Portsmouth West Brom Stoke and Oxford. Perhaps Stephan's plan is to bore draw our remaining away fixtures.

It's at a struggling Charlton on a Friday night , live on Sky and a big QPR following, so it all points to a Charity Park Rangers after the Lord Mayor's show performance.

2-1 loss. Prove me wrong Rangers.

Like you, I need to eat less sugar and prefer dark chocolate now, but always enjoyed a Picnic bar. A dark chocolate bounty was a close 2nd, but now choose to eat plain dark chocolate bars such as Bourneville or Green and Blacks.

I could be tempted to buy a Tony's Dark Chocolate Almond bar if I find one in a shop.

Boring boring Arsenal

I saw the highlights of the Man City V Newcastle 2nd leg and that looked like the complete opposite of the Arsenal Chelsea borefest.

Both teams went out to score goals Newcastle to get them back in the tie and City to take them clear. It could easily have ended in double figures.
