Keith Andrew’s has the best squad of players Brentford have ever had in the PL to work with.Despite losing 4 main players Manager plus 7 back room staff they have all been replaced by better Mbeumo being the exception.I honestly thought and hoped he would do well at Spurs but he will leave with a hefty pay out that will cushion the blow.8million 3 year contract the money madness of the PL although he was on 5 million at Brentford.

Could add Rosler and Dean Smith to the list it was always going to be a tough gig for Thomas.The spurs players weren’t having him it’s a big difference being head coach of a small club who sign players who are looking to move on to a. Bigger club.He inherited a bunch of big egos who think they are super stars.

They are an established PL side with a good youth set up and although could lose Wharton and Mateta as well think they will be ok.There doesn’t appear to be any outstanding teams in the championship this year so could be same teams go back down.
They will join the boring mid table teams that tread water every season and collect the cash my team included.

😂first time I’ve heard that.Cost around £100 mill expect that would have doubled to build now.So just shows what you get for your buck IF you can find a plot in your area.Not its biggest fan but it has served a purpose for our time in the PL.If we hadn’t got this we would have had an all seating Griffin Park with a capacity of 8500.

When you take in the Brentford squad last night would have cost more than QPRs first team squad and many other championship clubs what do you expect.Hopefully the game was good for the young players in their development after all that’s what these games are for. Although Brentford took advantage to play 3 players from first team squad who are coming back from injuries.Would be interested to hear what those who went thought of the stadium bearing in mind you are looking to build a new one.

My dad took me to Chelsea for my first ever game back in the 60s and went with him a few times but then he took me to Brentford who were then in the 4 th division.Stayed with Brentford now 60 odd years on don’t regret it one bit.Have many life long friends who are still with us and have travelled to well over 100 grounds.Very proud of where we have got to and how we done it but those years in the lower leagues,although the football for most of the time was dire they were the best days for me as a fan.

Very important game for both sides to get players match ready with opening games coming up.Dont normally do pre season friendlies but going to this with some Rangers mates and want to check out new signings and enjoy a non PL atmosphere with no VAR.Think your fan base has held up well over last season with many near capacity home attendances when the team were struggling the wrong end of the table.

It’s not unusual for clubs to factor deals like this they have a guaranteed amount to be paid over say 4 years they get the money upfront for a fee from bank/ finance company. Some clubs have chosen this for parachute payments which is a dangerous gamble.
