They will be taking action. The club can't discuss it though.

We are trying to save as much money as possible. I find it impossible to think that we are doing nothing to manage the situation.

For all we know, he's on statutory sick leave and not being paid. But they can't divulge that.

Isn't Chillwell injured?

Rico Lewis is right footed as well. Not seen/heard much of him since the start of the season though (but I am out of the loop with the Prem).

Sorry, don't know how to add it as an image. Seems strange that they included LR, without all of Ellerslie Road. Would also tie in with the change in voice from the club about developing LR.

We sold out plenty of times last year. We sell out of non restricted views every game.

I am too young for your comparisons, I am 34.

You and I are not going to agree on it, which is fine.

My point is that if we had a bigger ground, we would sell more tickets. Sell more tickets, we have more money. Easier to get beer, ill drink more beer there. Sell decent food, ill buy decent food. At the moment I spend next to nothing at LR. If it were easy enough to get the rest, id probably spend £40 a game there. If there are more like me then that's a huge increase in revenues.

Making more money and then spending more on wages etc is a slightly different argument and I agree. But that is why I don't really understand why people want FFP gone. All it means is that everything goes up. Your £1m player is suddenly £5m and your team isn't much better.

Which makes it more important to get money in, so we can spend it without the need of breaking FFP.

Above all, I also love LR. Don't get it twisted, it's a great shithole and I love standing in Y block giving it some. it would just be better if I could get more alcohol!

How much would they be losing, if they didn't have this income? Are Tottenham's losses part of paying for the stadium?

If WHU aren't getting non match day revenue, then that's pretty much the same as us.

I don't know all of the financials, but I do know that we could be making a lot more money with a better stadium.

I could be wrong, but the club don't get that, the council/government would as West Ham don't own the ground.

Pretty sure that they don't get all of their match day revenues either.

What is your second sport.

Formula 1.

I used to go racing around the south of England with my kart. Loved it. Staying over in my campervan, setting up the kart, making new friends there and then obviously the racing. No buzz quite like accelerating towards 70mph and then out braking someone.

I have been to Silverstone 6 or so times, been Austin and Spa to watch it as well.

F1 and Football doesn't usually mix though. Not that many people when I was racing watched football and most of my mates who love football, don't like f1.

I never watch it but love playing Squash. A 30 minute game and you end up aching for days. It's full on, great for agility and good fun. Really quick turnover in the game, short sharp sprints. Great fun and more intense than playing tennis.

By trying to disprove what I have said, you proved it.

Our attendances have been great this year. Imagine how good they would be with a stadium that isn't hindering us?!

I want a new stadium, I want a great atmosphere, I want to be standing and I want to be pissed. Why does a new stadium mean we can't have that? It's a really shit argument that it is one or the other. It isn't.

Hounslow, when did I say that? I didn't. Think you're confusing who you're quoting.

Unfortunately for you, times have moved on. Some fans do care about not having pillars in their way. Some fans do want more than a bacteria infection to eat. Some fans do prefer their beers to be cold.

Great post.

I will add though, that the clubs you mention (boro, Hull, Southampton etc). You say that they have turned back to where they should be.

My argument would be, and is, that they would be lower than they are now. You have to invest to stand still these days. Otherwise, you'll be over taken.

LR is amazing, of course it is.

But taking the romance out of it, how can you say a place whereby you have to choose a warm beer or a piss at HT, is a good venue? A place where every seat is a restricted view. All seats are uncomfortable. Food is basic and even more basic in different stands. Drink is 1 choice or nothing.

Attendances are sold out at the moment, despite us not being great. Dispite all of the above. I fear that some fans lack the imagination and ambition to be bigger and more successful.

How many fans don't come back? Or don't buy because there are only restricted view left? That answer, is a lot.

QPR are not a big club. But we are bigger than LR shows.

I do want a new stadium. I would love LR to be re built. I dont want to move far from LR. It's not asking much.

Not fussed if he goes or stays. Good CBs have him covered quite easily. He doesn't hold it up very well and when he does have the ball at his feet. I feel like hes a touch away from losing it again.

He's excitingly direct and that's about it.

Sell with a sell on clause. Id be happy if he signs a new deal but if he doesn't want it, get some money back and keep a sell on clause so that if he makes it elsewhere, then we are still going to make money.

Nearest pub to where you live
at 08:56 7 Jun 2024

I live in Sunmead Road, so I know these pubs well. The Admiral is great since it has been done up. I used to love it before, purely because no one was ever in there, meaning my kids could play around freely in the side part. Now it is busy, it's harder to go for a pint as my youngest is 18 months ... so peak age of not staying still, climbing everything and running everywhere.

I like the Flower Pot. The food is normally lovely but in the same breath, had some bad meals in there. The bugers at the White Horse are banging, highly recommend those.

I haven't been in the Magpie or Pheonix in years now. Slightly too far to walk just for a pint or 2.

I drink in London Irish the most though, id say. My bros kids play there a lot, and with it being around the corner, it's handy just going there. Kids play outside and beer is cheapest.

Never been Conservative club though. I know a couple of people that go there, and one of those is a reason I don't go there haha.

Why is there a rivalry with them?

Never heard of it before and my brother who is 10 years older, has never mentioned any sort of feelings towards Oxford.

Chelsea yes, Oxford? nothing.

Selfishly, easier for me to go evening games than the weekend. Much less resistance from the misses when I miss a bed time rather than lumbering her with 2 kids for a Saturday.

New Kit Annoucment Due ??
at 15:38 26 Apr 2024

Must admit, I don't really understand why kids can't have it. I get that you need to be 18 to bet but the kids are allowed to cheer there heros on. Parents can wear it etc.

Probably a really over simplistic view but it seems to be a law for the sake of it.

As for the kit, I don't hate it, don't love it. Some red somewhere would have been good. Near the collar or the collar itself. Being purely blue and white does look slightly Reading-y but they have skinnier horizontal stripes.

More than 20% are going to general sale though. Means that once going through the points, there was more than 20% left.

If 80% had been sold and it hadn't reached 100 points (example number) then those with 100 points wouild have to try get it from the last 20% of the allocation.

Who needs Category A status Academies anyway????

His family are Chelsea and Arsenal fans, so he was always going to go if given the chance.

He use to come and kick a ball about when I was playing football for Hampton Unathletic, back in the day.

So I take full credit in his ability.
