As I said before her choice, her money and she is old enough to make her own mistakes or not, advantages, and disadvantages hers to weigh up.

Indeed. Well, that's told me!

I had read it all, akshully, and the free exercise / saving you from spending time doing other exercise point hadn't been made explicitly (ooer) but hey, it's your thread .

Do tell us what she buys in the end. I haven't bought a new bike for about 25 years and am as out of touch on that subject as I am on most others

No worry was not having a go at you, advise it great

My concern would be the battery which can cost £250 to replace if it dies within a year, not good if no warranty.

Niece, told she is unlikely to return to Westminster till next year, so not bothering with the bike for now.

With that, it looks like the Gov are not seeing an end to this anytime soon.

Hi, thanks for that I'll pass it on to my niece.

I think she is waiting awhile as her furlough was extended so still working from home.

If she's furloughed, she shouldn't be working.

In regard to build quality

Just been speaking with a guy that has the Dohiker version

He has had his for about 6 months, said it's all been good apart from the 14" wheels that are too small for him, his one regret.

Does about 25 miles on a charge and ok for speed.

agreed, typical china b.s. rip off logo and hope you wont notice.

This bike probably works, and works well.......probably.
But in many cases pay cheap, pay twice, and looking at their product page online, their paperwork, the price, and my knowledge of practices out there, i'd steer clear.

Besides if its faulty, then what?
Turkey wont give a FF, China wont give a double FF, your only real assurance is buying a properly certificated product in the UK and pay by credit card.

An electric bike may be a better choice, recently I got an electric bike from eskute.co.uk. It really help me for cummuting, no need to transfer by train or other way. It can run so far

I don't have an e-bike yet, but if I ever feel the need to ditch my two standard bikes, I will certainly consider this beauty.

It is so svelte, it doesn't even look like it has a battery. OK, it's not cheap but e-bikes are pretty pricey. It gets a great review too.
