Brentford are the best side I’ve seen us play against this season. I thought we got the better of them at their place and was expecting more of the same today but was badly wrong.
Smaller squad than us though, going by their fans reaction to the team being named that was a lot of u23s on bench for them today with very little first team experience. |

You’ve said we were outnumbered in midfield. We played five in midfield with the wing backs. We could have gone to a flat back four with a five across the middle and one up front but then that’s handing the initiative even more
They were a good side. Player for player looked sharper and better than us. We got lucky.
But we stuck to our guns and showed enough strength of character to get back into a game with ten men

They did their homework on us last night and it worked to some extent.
Steve Cooper is doing a superb job, however he is still learning.
He got outwitted by Frank last night maybe that's why Steve Cooper made a big thing of our goal resulting from analysis on them.
When we went down to 10 men and conceded our priority was not to lose and we achieved that magnificently due to fight and resilience.
We are in a great position in the league all things considered.
My concern is that a team will come in for Steve Cooper and his excellent coaching staff and we will be back to square one once again. | |
