To give a fair analysis, he has scored 39 league goals in the past five seasons whilst starting 141 games. a goal every 3.6 games. A very decent record.

And as for your comment- that's his current form-, actually if you went on his CURRENT form, most current form tables are based on six games which would have him as very prolific, unlike your BBC quoted stats.

Have been thinking about this. Thinking back to Hughes' second season at Rangers we actually didn't look that bad for the first 10 games or so, I remember a lot of comments on here that we'd been a bit unlucky, results could just have easily gone in our favour, chances missed etc. The longer we went without putting the chances away any confidence the side had started to ebb, Hughes lacked the man management skills to keep things together and with a new cobbled together side and some dodgy characters, there wasn't any fundamental unity to tide us over. Hughes is still an arrogant tw*t and not nearly as good as he thinks he is but things could have been very different had we got a few deserved results in those first 10 games. |  | | |
