Same reason CFG buy up dozens of youngsters every year - buy low on a long contract, loan them out for a couple of years then sell them for a profit. It’s enormously profitable for them. |

I’m sure both medical picked up the pins in both shoulders - it’s really quite hard to miss after all. Anyone who has had a shoulder problem would know a pinning is a last resort and the shoulder is permanently weakened.
There’s a reason City got him for £3m….. |

Charles missed most of last season getting both shoulders pinned, he’s not a 46 game a season keeper so it’s perfectly sensible to sign Ward as an experienced #2 as he will get plenty of game time anyway! |

Probably worth reminding ourselves that we had Nardi on a nice wedge not playing last season and then dragged a 37 year old out of retirement because Nourry decided Walsh was #1 and the data didn’t lie.
12 months later he’s gone, yet Nourry is still trying to sell people that data is the answer to all questions and that anyone who disagreed and felt having played the game professionally gave them an insight had to be removed from the club.
Still, #cooking and all that. |

Maybe this can finally solve it - those who want to can put in £50 each for them to live off and then get a tax rebate share of the £500m they’re estimated to bring into the economy every year.
Those who don’t want to contribute can pay an extra £10 a year in tax instead to offset that revenue,

Short answer, they wouldn’t sell 60% more at the lower price.
Pricing is never linear and I’m sure Errea utilise market pricing surveys and Nielsen data to find the ‘sweet spot’ of price-volume.
It’s also possible their Italian factory (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) only has limited capacity for a club the size of QPR so they only want to produce say 20k shirts rather than 40k. |

No. PL rules are very clear that any club who felt impacted must have registered a grievance during the process, before any verdict was released. From memory 3/4 clubs did.
Same applies for City - any club who might want to start an action if they’re found guilty needed to make that known a few years ago now. And a key part of the PL rules that all clubs agree to state that interclub grievances must be resolved at a PL arbitration, not outside action.
QPR promotions would be long time barred by now. |

The overwhelming majority of the revenue from kit sales go to the manufacturer. The club get paid a lump sum to allow the manufacturer to produce the shirt.
Going without a sponsor is just straight lost revenue to a club. |

Your point about PL clubs is the whole point. Pl clubs get big sponsorships because it’s a global product and the sponsorship returns the investment 100x over in earned media.
Clubs like QPR and the team my company sponsors don’t get big sponsorships as nobody outside of us lunatics knows or cares who their sponsor is. And QPR v Preston on a Tuesday night on Sky returns about £4.50 in earned media. Which was my point. Nobody, not even the shadiest money laundering hole of a company is paying millions to sponsor QPR and so the club are agreeing these deals rather than the local builders merchants not out of FFP necessity, but because they simply don’t care about the optics. |

FWIW, my company sponsors a regular champions league competitor and we pay £1m a year, so for a club our size the increase from a shady fly by night operator versus Bobs Builders Merchants in Shepherds Bush is likely to be about 1 day of payroll. |
