Still saying the match will start shortly. Nearly 5 minutes in to the game.

Seems Sunderland forgot to switch on the technology

When online commentary streams were introduced in about 2001 they were more stable - with dialup - and not as delayed as they are now. Audio commentary is sometimes over a minute delayed and generally never less than 50 seconds delayed. That simply is not "live". TV results programmes, apps (google, sky, gambling etc) and the club's social media feeds all inform of goals and other highlights before iFollow broadcasts it. There's no reason for the commentary to be more than 8 or so second delayed. It's 2018 and performance has regressed from 17 years ago. Prices have shot up though.

Probably had to dust it down or something.

Now cut the match off mid-stream. At least wait for the final whistle.

The app had a fault that has been rectified over the weekend,if you update it then it should work now

I had to Google Caveat emptor as Latin wasn't taught in inner city Nottingham in the 70's

You can be forgiven for preferring to be behind the bike sheds at school, but there are public libraries too. You can borrow books for free as well. But there is a fine for when you decide not to take them back on time or at all. It's part of the necessary checks and balances to account for Notts County fans.

I can read and write but not Latin is all I'm saying and tbh I've got through life without having the need to know it,I know quite a few people who aren't fluent in Latin so it could be a Notts supporter thing i suppose,is Bart fluent in it,do they chant in Latin at the City Ground?
Was it taught in Rochdale schools in the 70's?

Only pulling your leg Chalkster. I know no Latin except for phrases which have passed into everyday use (was going to say parlance but let's not bring the Frogs into it). Caveat Emptor is one such. Tempus fugit is another. The only other one I can think of is Reproductus distantus Pallido

If I can't make it to a game and listen on IFollow. I have to remember to turn alerts off on football apps. Because the lag often means the alert flashes up before the commentary.

Should have moved to Rochdale lad. Despite living on one of the countries worst council estates in the 1970 s the comprehensive school I attended still taught us latin. I still remember the feeling of great pride being able to go home and tell my mum “I love a table’ in latin.

Caveat Emptor does not mean "empty the cabinet" though with all the hot air that has been flying around the Governmet's Cabinet on this Brexit issue it would be a good translation.
It means "let the buyer beware" of getting faulty goods (like iFollow) and it was used a lot in ancient Roman times so my Grandad recalls presumably when their iFollow of chariot racing was interrupted.
