Its a bit of an unfair comparison given the average attendence at football league games overall have changed over time. So there needs to be some way of weighting attendences for the seasons the clubs were in the league. Perhaps measuring a clubs average attendence as a % of the average attendence in the entire football league for each season the club was in the FL.

Also it might include averages for teams that have been in the league but no longer are.....in fact the list includes one such club, but only one. It begins with B and has four letters!
