I can't have Oasis and Blur mentioned on here. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea, but I always judge a band on its cast offs, and most of these bands' B-sides overshadow others' primary output.
I can forgive Blur their baggy impersonation of a first album due to what followed.

Absolutely correct,Elvis,Jerry Lee,Chuck,Little Richard and the like had been replaced by clean cut Bobby Vees and wannabe Cliff's who sang boring family friendly songs,The Beatles and Stones changed all that by putting some blues into their songs and music started to develop again,don't look too much into the first two Beatles albums as they was trying to find their feet (although there are some gems on there) but the other eleven was brilliant for their day,one day The Beatles will be irrelevant to the younger generation much as classical music is today but they will always be in the history books | |
