Normally that would be the right thing to do but whilst there are people selling their shares in public as it were, those shares need to kept away from the wrong people wherever possible. Who knows whether there are people at large who want to accumulate shares for reasons that may not be in the best interests of RAFC? The whole reason for the Trust is to maximise fans involvement in the running of the club, to that end all shares carry equal weight. Having shares on the market belonging to people who may be vindictive towards the club is not a healthy position. The sharks are still in the water. If possible the trust and indeed the club needs to drain the pond they swim in and reclaim their shares whenever possible.
Dont forget, the trust can also sell shares it has acquired to fans if the need to raise money is so desperate and then donate the cash to the club.

If the share issue allows existing shareholders to purchase 1 new share for every 1.267 held. If someone were to purchase the shares of both recently removed directors the could potentially end up with just shy of 49000 shares.

Wonder if the gang of three can get the readies together between themselves and purchase Bottomleys and Rawlinsons shares..
Like a few who have said that the monies will go into their pockets who cares aslong as they are non associated with the club..

Somebody mentioned again the trust buying them and donations to purchase the shares.
It wouldnt surprise me one bit if they refused the trust due to sour grapes.........

I think the trust would be better subscribing for new shares being issued so that money goes directly to the club, rather than mopping up shares from those that want to sell. If those shareholder wished to donate their shares to the club however thats a completely different matter

I understand your argument but by buying his shares it avoids then being placed in the hands of some nerdowell that he associates with.

I'll offer him 10p a share and he can then retire

I've heard 70p is the going rate

Poll: So who do you believe - Hendo or the Board?

When the share issue is launched, if fans buy 27451 from the club, these two odious characters' shares are completely worthless as the fans will cancel out their clout. Not that they will ever show their faces again.

A right kick in the ballots for both.

I'd strongly recommend any shares bought should be from the club to whom the money would go.

Let these two keep their shares. They're worthless, about 5% of the club. Even less % after new shares are sold.

Poll: Who do you think bury should appoint as their next manager?

There's a bit to this I don't get.

We know that one of the two previous directors used his shares to allow the appointment of Mr Grindrod on Thursday 27 May, 5 days before the AGM/EGM.

The Articles of Association say "the qualifications of every Director shall be holding in his own right of shares or stock of the Company of the nominal value of Ten Pounds and no Director shall be entitled to receive any remuneration in respect of his office as Director."

We know that the three new directors want to buy shares, but cannot do so without approval of existing shareholders, so they have lodged a sum of money in the club's investment account in the interim.

Now we understand that at least one former Director is trying to hawk his shares in a mercenary fashion to the highest bidder the question are:

1. Which shares are the ones that Grindrod bought, as he must own them "in his own right"?
2. Has Grindrod lodged the exact same amount of money into the club's investment account as the three new directors to be on the Board, such is the stipulation on joining the Board? And if not, why not?

I agree with you that shares in the Company are technically worthless and I hope that when new shares are available as many fans stump up £50 or £100 to join the register; its vitally important.

Me too, but only if he resigns as CEO and is made to attend matches in the Sandy Lane end.

I wouldn't want to see him in the Sandy.

It makes you wonder how much Messi has contributed to that perilous financial state. It’s been well reported that he’s had them over a barrel repeatedly, when him & his agent set off transfer talk every couple of years to coax a new deal out of them.

Messi now has greater wealth than Barcelona. How did that happen, I wonder?
