Ridiculous either turn it down or get speakers than can deal with the volume. But why does Sweetmore shout, absolutely impossible to have a conversation before the game or at half time. It’s not a nightclub Dave!!

I was witness today to a discussion between a club employee and director having a very positive chat about how to adjust the levels.

I was asked about the WMG levels I experienced today which were fine for me.

Club employee was very detailed in his understanding of the volume controls and what he could do from the control box.

All in all, obvious attempts from club to address the issue.

It seemed blissfully quiet in the Sandy today before the game and at half time... Or maybe I was concentrating on not getting hit by footballs from the pre- match shooting practice...Unlike a chap a little way away who got one in the face! Would it cost too much to put a net up? Or is it cheaper to wait until somebody gets badly hurt and sues?

Not the first time this has happened recently.
I’ve learned to watch the shooting part of the warmup more closely than the game itself.
Having said that, it’s amazing what good finishers the likes of Newby and Dooley look when they actually shoot, admittedly whilst unopposed!

Was just right (for me) in the Pearl Street today - perfectly audible without being overpowering. Credit to whoever has been involved in making the necessary changes.

I’m sure one of our fans had his arm broke away at Chesterfield once

I remember seeing a young kid who was sitting on top of one of the crash barriers get knocked completely off it by a shot from Lyndon Simmonds. It was in the warm up for the famous Dale v Stockport relegation battle.

I took one in the neither regions from Joe Rafferty away once.. wasn’t pleasant but in all fairness he did come over & apologise 😀

I remember being at Gay Meadow 20 or so years ago, and it was always good fun when the players blasted balls into the stand behind the goal whilst we all dodged them.

Will never, ever forget one of the funniest things I have seen at a football ground.. A supporter (forget his name...you might post on here) walked out with a coffee/tea in one hand and food in another. Ball was blasted towards us and knocked coffee/tea out of hand. He laughed, then shook his fist saying "you won't get my sausage roll" and then naturally, the next ball hit towards us sent his sausage roll flying!!

Everyone laughed, it was great fun. Also remember my brother getting tw@tted in the back of the head by a ball bouncing back off the inside of the Hereford roof.

Many people on here will remember Henry Conroy.
He could have been put off attending Dale matches for life when he and I were both at St Wilfrid's in the late 1960's and he copped for a piledriver from Big Reg in the face before a game at the Pearl Street end.
I don't think any bones were broken but he had a bloody nose and broken glasses.
Reg as really concerned to be fair and came over to check he was ok.

I remember my brother taking a ball across his chops as he was walking along the front of the Sandy from a wayward Alan Young shot. To be fair to Young he came over and apologised saying he wasn't aiming for him.

At which point someone else bellowed out, "if you'd have been aiming for him you'd have bloody missed!"

Which is why my kids unfortunately won’t be doing such things as tours. I’m not handing over money to contribute to the wage of someone who calls users of this forum “peados” (sic).

He's very lucky he didnt get a slap for that , the plastic Manc!
