Update 17:13 - Feb 2 with 9658 viewsDale_Trust

We have received an email from Matthew Southall with a statement from Morton House this afternoon that was being circulated to both local and national media. As you'd expect, we have passed this on to our legal team and we are not planning on making any comment at this moment in time.

Matt Southall writing on behalf of Morton House? A company he doesn't work for? At least he has stopped pretending he was buying shares off them (which still haven't transferred). He's been involved since day one and we all know it.

Very contrary to what he had to say here:

Maybe the “usual clique” might know. Ask them perhaps?

How much did they ask for? I cannot understand the case, shareholders have the right to reject a takeover or did they expect us to act like mugs and say welcome. The takeover bid was derailed by the way the fans exposed them as slightly dodgy in terms of their financial background and the history of failed directorships and questions bout Morton House. The board and trust acted in a correct manner all time and inline with the regulations set down by the EFL.

As others have indicated the support the trust have received from across the football spectrum may have made them think that their attempt to bully us into submission may be doomed to failure. No doubt they will BS to the media about the way they have been treated and we did not appreciate their attempt to save us from financial disaster.

According to Companies House there is only one person who has a significant interest in Morton House... Faisal Safouane . He owns all the shares at the moment and has Ms Courtnell as a co -Director with no shares.
There seem to have been all sorts of people speaking for Morton House except Safouane and Courtnell. Interesting eh? Who benefits?

If it’s been sent to local and national media, it won’t be long until we see it. Until then, I’m going to speculate…

Dear Dale Trust and individuals of the board of directors,

‘Our’ notice of legal proceedings was supposed to intimidate you into giving us what we want. You have shown, yet again, that you are not going to be bullied and have effectively called our bluff.

Why would you do this to us? We are the good guys and want to take Dale to the Premier League.

Yours,
Matt

How come it's Southall sending letters when Morton House that are involved in the court action.

Must be their new spokesman. The new Alexander Jarvis, if you like.

There can’t be anything more to it than that, because that would be incredibly dodgy. We all know everything concerning Morton House and First Form Construction was completely above board.

I think it’s really nice of Matt to write to the Trust on behalf of Morton House.

Obviously only interested in settling this dispute in an amicable and mature manner.

Cheers Matty lad, clearly remains an optimist

If Southall is amicable and mature than that's probably the only way that Jade might stick around when she finds out about all of this.

Imagine if she were to get a phone call or a letter than noted all of the things that Matthew had been up to since April 2021.

Is she about to experience what Elizabeth Tierney did perhaps?

Exactly Brierls, thats just what 's been on my mind, I'd like to add to your post if I may -
My name is T%&$ F£*@hall I live on the outskirts of somewhere in Grater Manchester so I know Rochdale AFC very well, I've always been interested in the Club, my Grandad once played darts with a bloke who used to live five doors down from Reg Jenkins, Big Reg as we used to call him so that should prove it!
I don't want to play any part in the daily running of the Club, 4 by 4's and 12k apartments that's just news paper talk, I simply want to obtain the majority shareholding of The Dale, sit on my shares until that they appreciate in value, lets say £10 Million then I'll sell em off, I don't care who I sell em to, maybe some Shy Talk who'll run down the Club, strip the assets and build an Industrial Park on the land where the ground used to be , upon second thoughts I might just do that myself.
Now, if you guys don't play ball with me and do as I say then I'm going to threaten you with litigation, No No, your spot on I've tried this before and it hasn't worked, but remember what Robert the Bruce once said - If at first............

But maybe he was simply misunderstood and is just looking to build the foundations of a new and potential successful alliance with backing from Morton House.

I'm sure the correspondence was constructive and will help cement him and MH in good stead.

Jarvis had hair.

Matt used to have hair. In fact, he’s had hair at least twice. His own and then he had a crack with somebody else’s before that fooked off too.

He’s probably had more failed hair transplants than failed threats of legal action.

Morton House are a reputable payroll company offering "Hassle free payroll solutions you can trust"

https://www.mortonhousecs.com/

As a fully compliant umbrella company, Morton House offers a wide range of dependable payroll solutions to both recruitment agencies and contractors.

Matthew is probably just reaching out to the Dale Trust asking them if they need help in ensuring they operate fully compliant payroll.

Morton House say they pride themselves on efficiency and are committed to providing a completely secure service that enhances commercial performance.

Matthew's commercial performances at Charlton Athletic are well documented and I am sure he has a great deal to add for them as they expand their corporate envelope from his home in Worsley.

My impression is that Jade will jump ship as soon as the funds for her 'upkeep' dry up

Or, even worse, she finds herself liable for some of the debts he's racked up. But who knows, i could be wrong and it could be a love match. If not, she needs to check with her legal advisers regarding maintenance. Oh, but that's based on earned income and assets...

I bet that Matthew has to make sure he is at the letterbox when the post comes in.

God forbid that a letter addressed to Jade Southall or Jade McManus from a Rochdale or Charlton fan slips through the post. It might be a letter to her from another lover, or even worse a creditor!

And I had my reply from the EFL stating they understand Dale fans’ frustration in the slowness of their ongoing ,thorough investigations involving, not only the Club but companies and individuals. Reiterating that new information had come to light during the past few weeks. A statement would be forthcoming as and when.
Bit similar to someone else’s response on here recently. Didn’t read like a stock reply and was signed by Danny.
So that’s that then.

The worm of time turns not for the cuckoo of circumstance.
