Ming, you are normally sensible, but if I was a hornets fan I would be worried about the fan base. Barely 300 now and dieing off at an alarming rate. All those free tickets to get kids and amateur rugby players to watch Hornets and none of it worked. When people who have gone for their entire life, including paying for a season ticket twice in the year they went bust, have given in, you know it is a problem. Look at the Hornets message Board in the week before their traditional derby - 3 posters and nothing positive to say except criticism of your Chair for not being transparent. I watched both teams back in the day for decades. My circumstances changed ( my wife got a Saturday job and I had young kids to look after ) and the football, being on Saturday, had to go. I suppose I gradually lost interest in football after that and apart from the odd game ( Newcastle in the FACup being the last ) I’ve never been back. Although I played football to a good level when I was younger I prefer Rugby these days. It’s like football used to be before all the big money and diving came into the game. | | | |

There as a lot riding on today for Mazey vs the Roughyeds - a win is expected if the aspirations he is portraying of Championship rugby next season are to be realised but lose - and Hornets have already lots to North Wales Crusaders, then questions are going to start to be asked about this very old and costly squad.

Sorry to ask what might be a question already answered by why is the Hornets crowd limited to 920? I'm guessing they only use the main stand, but is it because they can take drinks to their seats ? And if so why not do what we do and not allow them to take drinks out of the bar and sell more tickets? I imagine you probably need a drink to watch them but it just seems self-defeating, especially if they don't make anything from the beers they sell??? |  | | |

Sounds like a lot of the 920 may have been invited guests rather than paying spectators.
I’d be miffed if the game had apparently sold out before I could get a ticket only to find the hospitality area was full. Explains why the ordinary punters couldn’t get a drink until 2.30pm though I suppose. | | | |
