| Th'Ashes Down Under on 13:05 - Jan 8 by Daley_Lama | Harry Brook has today apologised for trouble with a bouncer in NZ the night before an ODI for which is was Captain. Story was that bouncer would not let him into a bar because he was drunk and he took a dink. £30,000 fine (max fine) |
Had trouble with bouncers the whole tour!!

If they had anything about them they would all resign….the two “Dicks” at the top, Key, Baz and Stokes. I’d put Alec Stewart in charge….back in cricket full time after taking a break following the loss of his wife. To think Stokes missed an entire ashes tour for a fight outside a night club. How Brook was ever considered captaincy material I will never know. Captains set standards…Brook doesn’t have any of his own. Anyone optimistic about the T20 World Cup? |
It would be a surprise if we reach the T20 semi's this time around especially as we haven't prepared any spinners for the tournament. We will be dependent on getting some big runs to have a chance, but again will struggle against the Asian countries who have an abundance of spin. The 50 over World Cup in 2027 may be our best chance as it is in South Africa that tends to have pitches we like. Also gives us time to bed in some new players/captain/management. Agree with your Alec Stewart comment. Pick him first and let I'm decide who he wants to work with as coach and then captain.

Love for us to win it, but would swap it for us to be a good test team that can compete with the best and have a chance to win home and away.

Won't be long before Rew's knocking on the senior team door as keeper/batsman

| Th'Ashes Down Under on 15:23 - Feb 3 with 1378 views | isitme | Rew is some talent. His older brother is not too bad either. Some good talent in the U19s with Mayes, Ahmed and the battery of fast bowlers highly thought of. | | | |

| Th'Ashes Down Under on 00:16 - Feb 12 with 937 views | downunder | The late drama being discussed in the York/Hartlepools game made think I should refer fellow cricket followers to the T20 game between South Africa and Afghanistan. From Afghanistan's 18th over in the chase, both teams "won and lost" the match several times over. Worth watching if you have n't seen it already. | | | |

If we had drawn them we probaly would have lost to them. Hope the night club bouncers go easy on our esteemed captain. We need him to be fit to toss the coin.

| Th'Ashes Down Under on 10:35 - Feb 16 with 329 views | isitme | Get in, get out. Brook's would have been a wide if he left it and Banton hit a drag down straight to the fielder when he could have hit it anywhere. Great innings by Basement Jacks. [Post edited 16 Feb 11:08]
