Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Not quite sure what the final question is all about? How do you educate the fans? A bit of mischief making by the interviewer? Cant we just enjoy back to back 4-0 wins without getting all cryptic?

Personally, I thought it was it an excellent question and and a brilliant response. We all (well, most of us) know what some fans are like. A few good performances / results and we are the best thing since sliced bread. A couple of bad results and the fans who Keith are referring to are on his back or singling out players who are 'not even worth a place in League One' or 'who are stealing a wage', etc., etc.

Any team that loses 9 in a row, after having had a great start to the season with the same players and plenty of money to throw around is likely to fire the manager. Its not a 'football thing'...its simply a case of he is no longer getting the job done.

Fans support the team thro thick and thin..if they wear a Dale shirt and they are on the pitch you support them regardless of how many mistakes they make during the game..if you want to vent your spleen do it when the game is over ,,but be prepared to go toe to toe with the recipient of your rant...but the true fan holds his tongue and prepares to back Team Rochdale once again at the next game............Keith shouldn't have to educate us..we should be as fans ..self taught!!!

One Walsall fan vented something after the match was over (from the Walsall forum)...

Due to living in the US I rarely attend games however this evening I was able to and therefore I would like to contribute with my match report.

Complete and utter rubbish.

After one minute of play it was very clear that management had the tactics very wrong.

Shockingly poor display of professional football.

However I did find the sarcastic support from the Saddlers faithful to be very entertaining.
The highlight of my evening was witnessing, what seemed to be a fairly calm elderly gentleman, at the final whistle, explode with anger fourcing his false teeth to fly out. If only the players had shown his passion.

Jesus saves but Beasley scores off the rebound.

There's many of us who see it the other way round - the fans educating the manager in how to manage the fans*

tbf he seems to be learning

* it's like at work, the savvy employee finds a way to manage his/her manager

Poll: What are you planning to do v Newport
