Look at Rodney for the second goal. Epitomises the lack of effort in this team. Their 2 players have time/space to pass it between themselves out wide before moving into the box. Rodney then appears but with zero effort to challenge their player. Embarrassing!

I heard at the Carlisle game that the club were trying to offload ROD due to his wages. Makes sense as to why he’s suddenly stopped playing

Warm ups suggest a back 4 of Keohane, O’Connell, Dorsett and Clark

Could be anything.
Dooley or O’Keefe as wingers.
Keohane as wing back or centre back.

Throwback to occasions when Hill was in charge as I’m struggling to work out where players are positioned.

The error was starting Kelly as DM!

Completely agree with 1907, can’t believe how bad some of the football we played today was. We were helped massively by the referee blowing for a free kick when Harrogate were through on goal, their management team were rightfully incensed.

There are some good players in our team that create a lot of optimism but equally we have some awful footballers in Coleman, Broadbent and Taylor. Dorsett can look very shaky, Grant isn’t great out wide, we have no bite in the centre of midfield and the strikers struggle up top by themselves. Time for a new formation as this is continuing to not work. 1 shot on target. Yes it came down to individual errors but FGR had much better chances including hitting the bar and post. 1 win since October, very much a relegation battle

I rewound and paused it, looked just outside the area. Definite foul from a player who was back to his worst

Shocking decision to put Morley on the right side of a back 3 up against their best player.

Ours Documentary
at 20:45 8 Mar 2021

Just watched the Ours documentary on BT Sport - it's a great watch that explores the roles of fans and models of football ownership. It includes phoenix clubs such as AFC Bury and AFC Rushden & Diamonds and initiatives such as those at Lewes FC that pay their male and female footballers equally.

It's made me reflect on the Dale, my favourite memories as a fan and what I miss most about matchdays. I think we have a great stadium, programme and music that both home and away fans always enjoy. iFollow has allowed those of us who wouldn't normally attend every away game to never miss a match and the RochdaleAFC.com podcast is fantastic!

What do people think the club could do to improve the matchday experience for those of us who already attend and those that we could attract from the 200,000+ population of Rochdale?

Lower prices? Food and drink options from local businesses such as breweries? Improved social media content?

Conor Grant is too much of a passenger, has offered nothing offensively and defensively in recent games.

It’s worth watching his post match interviews on iFollow rather than YouTube as they’re longer and you often get journalists asking questions in addition to those from club staff. Saturdays interview was interesting with a BBC RM journalist calling the situation’a mess’ which BBM didn’t agree with

Really interesting to see the Burton tactical analysis of us in action. Lost count of the amount of times Martin Culshaw has said ‘back it goes’, often leading to either loss of possession in our own half or when they mop up our long ball forwards. Morley at left back means we can’t build any attacks, we aim to break at pace and dribble forwards (as noted in the Burton analysis).

Good opening 5 minutes, since then it’s been rubbish

Commentators have suggested Shaughnessy is starting up top with Humphrys. Is he not a CDM?

Two league 2 standard teams going at it tonight. Shaunessey, Grant and Morley lacking quality. Hopefully Baah can do some damage now he’s on

I appreciate we’re a counter attacking side but we can’t seem to build an attack. No balls that break their midfield line. There’s no bravery, we turn around and play it backwards, often to Bazunu. It ends up with their defence and off we go again. Tough watch this, Plymouth should be 1 or 2 ahead
