I dont want to cause a panic or whatever, but does it not come over anyone's mind that maybe Chris might follow Hill if there is good enough interest in him? I hope bloody not but it would be expected if, happening. He stated last season he would love to play at an higher level but only if it was with Keith Hill and Rochdale, so what do we take away from that?
All im saying is Dunphy, have you're asking price with a cheeky grin. |

honestly feel this man is going to do something special here at rafc! his attitude towards the game is mega positive and signing grimes today is a massive boost to the clubs reputation. tbh i dont want to be bringing up keith hill much any more as i feel its not fair on eyresy but from what ive heard and obviously seen, steve has a much better eye for talent than keith, but yes he does know a lot of contacts through the game and through manchester city, but to come in at your first job and make ashley grimes your first signing?! that surely a rep boost.
but anyway, speaking to a lad at work who himself works very close with club has heard eyresy has been speaking to a non english league top flight player?! and also trying to get a young lad in from manchester city on loan, named guidetti, but that signing looks inetivable. and also a very experianced mid prime centre half.
now with previous threads i can only see that top flight player being healy?! but was that a load of rubbish? hm, things like this really do excite me and make me eager for the new season to arrive.

had a little chat with him on the car park, not sure were he was going but by the looks of things 'home' from a hard day at work looked to be the answer! just want people to know how, down to earth this man is! and no disrespect to hilly, but he wasnt the kindest of people was he. like any other fan, i was wondering who we are bringing in and also letting out, so i hit out the question to be replied with a cheeky smile and "you will have to wait and see"
i really do sense alot of positivity around now! and im bloody delighted! roll on pre-season and lets kick on! rochdale afc. one love! |

heard that steve has a firm eye on bringing in, highly rated harry bunn striker from manchester city and a goal keeper, gonzalez i think? anybody else heard similiar?
i know bunn is a high standard talent at the youth setup, and would like to see him here at dale. big ask though!

listen ive not posted this to be slated at or anything, but from my hearing a reliable source has said, chris beech will be confirmed manager when returning off holiday.
im not sure how much truth in this there is but, i for one will be more than happy with that. he knows the players and knows how the clubs run.
anyone heard similiar? |

Sorry, but haven't see the post anywere. So yes, thankyou Mr Hill and Mr Flitcroft for everything you have done for this club! You've done an incredible job, and took the plunge at a bigger club.
Before i get slated on here, yes i do understand that it wasnt the smoothest thing to say and then go to the club he once said he wasnt going to, but if i recall, Keith Hill re-opened talks with Barnsley, so he did actually reject the first offer.
Lets think about it, your on 17,000 a year or whatever and then another job comes in and offers you bigger and better money. But you reject the offer, for maybe transport problems. Then the same enquiry is put at you again, but this time the wage is 23,000 a year and also, free transport? Do you take it? Of course you bleeding do.
Some people need to wake up and smell the coffee and this flippin messageboard, calling the man that changed things which not alot of fans who stand in them terraces have ever witnessed in there time. And, then a young man comes through the head of centre of exellence and gives us history over a 4 year period.

Heard from a high standard source that we the vacant job should be filled within the next 2 days, hopefully before saturday anyway.
Looks to be Beechy? Hope so, good bit of winning mentality! And im not sure if he will change his plans, but when i've watched the youth team previously, Chris is a manager that doesnt like his team sitting back.
Always good on the fans behalf haha! |

Now im not one for beleiving before seeing, and which im not going to hold to this so called rumour, but the source that i have heard from is a liability!
Not sure if any one else has heard, but he said we are very close to signing a young forward with from Non League with very'high standards' which his ability could fit him in perfectly at League one standard.
