Agree with that. We should look at Firgrove, it’s already the towns public footballing venue. Rebuild the changing rooms with kitchen, dining area, physio room and briefing room, and whatever else is needed. Sort a couple of pitches out and get an AstroTurf down. Surely that would be more feasible and cost effective than finding a brand new site.

Sir Peter Ogden has just left the Cricket Club in his private helicopter after an hours meeting after finding out we tried to blow £500 on a red card appeal! Reckon we are goosed now!!

To be fair, we are doing the grassroots day on Saturday and I’ve received an email from the club, offering tickets to all our players for my son’s team.

I’ve been speaking with a colleague in Lincoln today, avid Lincoln City fan. Asked him what his crowds are like now in league one, they’re getting 10k for home matches yet they used to get similar to us. I asked how he thought they’d done that and he told me it was due to their game at Arsenal where they took a load of fans, kept their details and marketed to them. I was flabbergasted that they’ve been able to improve their gates 4 fold. Maybe there’s a lesson to be learnt there…

Red all day. Makes Mitchell’s look like an accidental tread on the laces in comparison.

Club Appeal Red Card..

No.

If you were at the EGM you’d have seen and heard gauge trying to bully us into making a decision, when all the while there were many options available and it was very unlikely that we’d ever go bust with said options. I’m not going into all that though, it’s been done to the death. My point was about the complete overreaction to the appeal of a red card, completely unnecessary and it turns out it was the right decision after all. I also wasn’t trying to get one over, as I’d made my point about knickers in a twist before the decision. Some people just need to make a big deal about everything and that was completely unjustified when it was clear it was never a red card. The rubbish spouted by D_alien was pathetic.

We didn’t survive liquidation by the skin of our teeth at all, you’ve no clue what you’re talking about and obviously fallen for Simon Gauges bull. You can try and justify your complete overreaction by all the rubbish you keep spouting about how it doesn’t bode well blah blah blah. It was never a red, it needed appealing, it was, it was overturned, as it should’ve been. Anyone who knows the rules knew it would be. Hold your hands up and admit you were wrong for a change.

Untwist your bloody knickers you daft sod. It wasn’t a red, the club are appealing it so we can have one of our main men in action, hopefully, for the remainder of the season. You’re talking like we’ve just gambled the Crown Jewels on a roulette spin whist, as you like to call him, SPO is watching in disbelief. Calm down, I doubt SPO is as irate as what you are, this really does not warrant your overreaction at all.

You’d hope they could/would sort something out. I’d fear there’d be a lot of competition between the 2 due to the fact both will want to attract the most talented young footballers.

Shame the grassy mound next to the Pearl St known as the Spion Kop isn’t still there, could’ve called it the ‘Hill da Ogden’!

Dale Trust Meeting With WSH LLC
at 12:42 14 Mar 2024

He said…

“If you vote no, be prepared to have the courage of your convictions and stand up in front of the national press to explain why.”

He also said…

“If you vote no, there’ll be no game Saturday.”

Everything you have written there is 100% spot on. I’ve never met Brayne and have no idea of his character and whether he’s a good’n or a bad’n, but given the fact he brokered the last deal with those fraudsters including the American hedge fund owner, James Lawrence, who was actually a mechanic from Preston, doesn’t bode too well.

WSH could be a great deal for us, it really could, but I do believe this second deal will be much better. We need to make this second deal happen, not sure how as fans we do that, but we do.

Simon, you’ll still get your money back, but you need to do what’s best for the club please, not just what suits your family.

Let’s hope it’s a vote rather than just a solitary decision. We’ve been fans a lot longer than SG’s been in charge and only want what is best for the club.

Hopefully he will send out a statement to explain how the decision will be made with regards choosing investment. Or will he stay silent and push the WSH holding bid through before anyone can do anything?

Can the trust make a statement on this, next steps, process etc…?

Second investment is head and shoulders above what we know about the first. Let’s hope us fans have a say in which investment is approved, otherwise Simon gauge will still be running the club for WSH. Gauge needs thanking for what he has done, but this is now about the benefit of the club, not about how promptly he gets his money back!

Would it be down to the board to choose or shareholders? If it’s down to the board, this whole night should’ve been postponed given the fact that another LOI was presented to the board today.
