I still have the card with my original numbers on. Should we not have all received advice of whatever numbers of ours go into the draw? Is the draw made by a computer program or is it a physical one? If physical, who does it a s where?

In view of the fact that BWFC are invariably match commentary, that Radio Manchester provide the commentary for BWFC ifollow channel, the BBC produce a podcast called The Wanderer about, you guessed it BWFC, I have emailed the station manager of Radio Manchester asking about this and what financial tie-in there is.

Car Key lost at Portsmouth game
at 01:44 28 Nov 2019

It's a bit of a long shot but, I lost my car key (actually it's just a fob) at Saturday's match. It's more or less circular in shape, it's black and is embossed with the word Mini. There's a reward for it's return.
Many thanks.

Is it time to sell the club
at 18:57 24 Feb 2019

The mind boggles at the concept of "selling" the club. Nobody is going to buy it as an investment. The only valuation possible would be based on its potential as a development site. How many houses could be fitted on the land? Any sale proceeds would go to shareholders, after paying off debts. Over the years too many clubs have have fallen for the promises made by incoming owners only to end up in a right mess. As for borrowing against the ground, we've been there before and have only just got the ground back.

Noticed the other week that he had a hand up to his forehead to shield his eyes from the sun. This was when play was on the edge of his area. In effect he was keeping one handed.

How Times Have Changed.....
at 13:51 1 Jul 2018

In the eighties we seemed go from one crisis to another (much like the seventies). Good to see Bill Kenyon displaying the Dale sense of humour in confirming that there was enough money to pay the wages for this week........."and possibly next week".
A big thank you to all those who have guided the club from the very dark days.

Taxi
at 00:30 24 May 2018

I heard on BBC radio earlier that 2 years ago there were over 2500 hackney cab licenses on issue from Rossendale council. Apparently this meant there was a taxi driver for every 19 people in Rossendale. Why would Rossendale council issue so many licenses? Backhanders all round

Happy 49th anniversary tomorrow
at 09:43 11 May 2018

Etched into my memory is the trip to Halifax late in the season and the trail of buses and coaches taking us all over Blackstone Edge. Like many others of that era, recalling the members of that team comes easier than any other.
At the time I bought one of the few momentos of the promotion. A key ring on which was printed the words "keys to promotion".
The floodlights consisted of two telegraph poles at each corner of the ground with a bank of lights between the two poles. They wouldn't even do for a park pitch now. One of my City supporting school mates christened Spotland "the stadium of lights".
After matches I invariably called in at the hut in the corner of the car park that sold programmes from other clubs. The programme shop only took up the front of the but and people used go through into the back. Does anyone know what went on in the rest of the hut?

Wembley ticket restriction

It hasn't affected me but I'm wondering why tickets were restricted to two per person. Surely the idea is to sell as many as possible. I'm sure that there's room in Wembley.

A seat with a better view
at 16:02 4 Nov 2017

I really like the view that I've got from the Willbutts Lane stand. Unfortunately the sound system sounds even worse from here. There's an echo which means that it's virtually impossible to tell either what's being said or what's being played.
