Neutral here at the game tomorrow - curious as to what you lot reckon makes Keohane potentially a good defender? I'm sure I remember Exeter fans talking about him a few years ago as an attacking player.

Neutral thoughts on the Crewe game

ColU fans,

Written up some thoughts on the game - http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2017/crewe-2-0-colchester-seven-things-dagnall-do

Thoughts on Chris Porter? I actually felt the criticism he got in the first half was a touch harsh, given that Fosu-Henry and Dickenson weren't anywhere near him. If anything he deserved more criticism in the 2nd half when he had more to work with.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Question is, if Fer does become more disciplined and you drop him further back, do you leave out Cork or Fulton? Hear Fulton has been playing quite well.

Conundrum. Defence in need of improvement in January?

Do you think you can get the best out of Fer and Sigurdsson in the same team? To me they both look best in a free role just in front of the midfield.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Lessons not learnt?

Some interesting points. May be easy to underestimate the experience of some players due to their age, if they've been playing for 5 years or so. How is the defence looking, after last season?

Colchester fans,

Was the club right to leave itself with a very young squad this season? Sensed the problem last year was a lack of experience and physicality, which leaves you with no leaders that you need when you start to go on a bad run. Be interested to get your thoughts.

Bob Bradley the right manager for you Kirky? Never managed in England and has a mixed record elsewhere.

Board to blame

Swansea fans,

Done a Q&A with Steven Carroll on the situation at your club - http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2016/the-swansea-view-board-to-blame/

Would be interested to get your views. 1) Have the board been disrespectful to Guidolin? And 2) is the squad strong enough to stay up?

Cheers and good luck for the rest of the season.

Most fans seem to be saying you've been playing ok but defensive lapses have cost you. Confident you'll stay up?

Good luck for the rest of the season.

What do you think should be done differently then Leadbelly - would you want Cowling to go?

I think when you look at the kind of signings some of the favourites are making, that squad doesn't look up there to me. Would worry about having such a young defence.

ColU fans,

Done a Q&A with fan Richard Crick on your chances this season - http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2016/colchester-united-season-preview-youth-devel

Personally, I've said you'll finish 18th. I feel the structure at the club is a bit idealistic and puts too much faith into players who have no Football League experience. Doug Loft and possibly Luke Prosser are the only experienced leaders I can see in the squad - seems risky to rely on 1 or 2 players for that. Your views?

Fan Q&A

Hill has done a good job but you're competing against some clubs that get 15k odd gates with a League Two sized budget. Feel you'll slip into the bottom half - happy to be proved wrong.

Dale fans,

Done a pre-season Q&A with one of your fans, Calvin (not Calvin Andrew!) - http://www.TheFootbalLab.co.uk/2016/rochdale-season-preview-camps-developing/

Predicted your lot to finish 15th this season - what do you think? Will Ashley Eastham be a loss?

Cheers and good luck for the season.

What next for Colchester?

Cheers mfb. The other name that's been mentioned is Danny Cowley, done a decent job at Braintree with not much money. Could be worth a go.

John McGreal the favourite to take over. Would you be happy with him or do you think the club needs to change its approach of youth development/promoting from within?

Cheers and good luck for next season.
