Grant Hall would need to take a considerable pay cut in order for a new deal (beyond end of the 19/20 season) to be agreed.

One of the club’s highest earners and captain too. He’s 28 and just had a kid. Needs to maximise his earnings, where possible #QPR

Interesting one. Didn't realise he was a big earner, not sure how high he has his heights set but can't imagine him being a starter for anyone much better than us.

Not good news short term for the rest of the season if he's got his eye on not getting injured. How confident would we be of Masterson stepping up to fill his shoes?

A shame but I should imagine it's all about the wages.

For the record, he did say in April: “I’ve been at QPR for five years and love it, so my thoughts are that I’d like to stay".

I think he will end up somewhere abroad or in league one he is a good player but once injured always seemed to disrupted the back four

not watched much league one or two football this year but maybe there is a player worth taking a punt on

i can't remember the names of all our players it's been so long, but the scottish left back can play CB too.

Play-offs was always a bit of a daydream, we'd have had to go on a phenomenal run for it.

I'm just glad we have sensible people at the club now. In the past, we'd have panicked and tried to offer more money. I trust Warbs, he's earned that after completely re-building the team last summer.

Sad to see Hally go though. I'm in a weird camp, where I didn't think he was as good as was made out in his POTY season, but not as bad as some make out this season. I also think he's done incredibly well this season to return to very decent form from horrendous injuries and also to overcome some serious mental health problems. I think the club also seemed to look after him well too. He's scored a lot this season and been a good player for us over five years imo. A very decent sort, too.

Nice that players are leaving with kind words from both sides. A very good sign.

As I said on the pod this week I am fascinated where Grant Hall gets a deal even close to the one he's got here in the current climate. He's a standard Championship centre back, with big injury history, been on v good money, and there's 1,400 free agents kicking around.
