Most annoying voice on TV at the moment?

Naga Munchetty BBC Breakfast. Nasally monotone voice. Stumbles over words. Thinks she is so funny and clever. Have to switch her off.

Thank goodness I didn't make the trip from afar. That was a disgraceful performance. The team lacked desire and ability, constantly going backwards, not looking, not pressurising. They were quite simply clueless and inept. Feel sorry for the fans who made the journey only to sit in ice cold rain and nothing from the pitch to keep them warm. Football should be entertaining and about scoring goals and not just trying to avoid defeat. Where is the Dutch flair and passion we were hoping for?
I cannot remember a worse game.

Middlesex - a great County mostly transferred into Greater London in 1965 - the rest to neighbouring counties. Identity lost - downward spiral began.

No Sainsburys went to Corbins Lane end of Northolt Road almost opposite Odeon. Think old Sainsburys became Fads Wallpaper shop. Used to have brilliant greengrocers Ansleys, opposite side of road to Woolworths, fresh fruit and veg sold in brown paper bags. Shopping bags rested on upended orange crates. Used to bring home spare crates to play in/with and then chopped up for firewood.

Yes. It was a monster of a machine. There was also a wood merchants (Aylesfords?), Monteith's Garage. Do you remember the vacuum money tube system of Geoffs the haberdashery shop, Saturday morning flicks 6d to get in with sing along before film. Genners the sports/toy shop. Stratman's the sweetshop near Welldon Park School. The old Sainsbury's with marble top counters with bacon slicing machines, cheese cut with wire and butter patted and wrapped in paper. There was a Co-op on corner of Eastcote Lane/Northolt Road where there was a hall above for dances. There was a wet fish shop (MacFisheries) In those days South Harrow had it all. Brought up on Eastcote Road with Shotknees and TOAC.

The 12th man rally cry
at 23:44 10 May 2014

Unlike SKH no Grandma School for moi! We had to share books at something called a Secondary Modern School.

A shrill whistle blows, play has began
For the play-off game between Rs and Wigan.
Arry's picked his team, or was it his nose.
In front of the tv I start to doze.

Suddenly I am awoken by an almighty roar
Rangers have scored and then there is more.
We win the match. We're off to Wembley
And Arry's forgotten that pain in his knee.

Rs fans go crazy. Just keep on singing
But then the alarm bells start ringing.
Do we really want to play at Manure or Stoke?
Don't take me seriously, its only a joke.

Come on u Rs. Realise a dream.
Play with passion, play as a team.
I was at the League Cup Final in '67
For me it was like being in 'seventh heaven'.

Thanks boys. The support was totally awesome - lost my voice. So good to hear Southern accents again. Ace watching the game standing up. No rain either. Sensed players appreciated support - if only they had the courage to shoot. Think Wigan supporters eating DW's pies! Hope all supporters are back in full voice on Monday.

Also went. Thought we should have capitalised on the many opportunities we did have Far too much passing back. Need to go forward more and SHOOT as in the pre match practice. For me too much arial football. SWP still passing to oppo and cannot hit target! Felt we were capable of getting three points. Wigan only had better chances because we let them . Our supporters were fantastic and so good to see Holt not return for second half. Wish AJ had come on sooner. Match officials were totally inept.
