Maybe, but I reckon he's the eleventh or twelfth of last season's players most fans didn't think were up to doing a good job for Dale in the coming season that have been signed by other clubs.

He was very popular there when he was there on loan last season as he shored up their defence. He is seen as their big signing and they are surprised he came because his wages at Brentford were allegedly way out of their league. |  | | |

Neither really. We signed players who could have done a reasonably good job in a confident and together squad. We didn't have that at all. |  |
