What an awful season of football that has been!!
Truly awful standard of football in this league and the worst part is that we’ve been so bad all season too.
The players seem to be good enough to at least be in the playoffs, but the way we play is so negative and boring to watch.
Not sure if I can justify paying hundreds of dollars for the season to watch that dross again.
Let’s hope the summer break lets me forget about just how bad it’s been watching this and sign up full of hope again.
As nice of a bloke McNulty is, he’s a dreadful and negative manager.

Pretty poor service to say the season is so close. Such a small things that really wouldn’t take long at all to fix

Anyone else having issues with is saying nothing available in your region for those living outside the UK?
Even when you create a profile with them, the teams in the league haven’t been update. Still got Notts and Wrexham on the list of teams when you chose who you support.
Poor to say the start of the season is so close and you can’t get a viewing pass and the teams haven’t been updated.

We had absolutely nothing to play for and we still played conservative, boring and predictable football.
Totally lacking ambition to go for it with nothing to lose and the expectations on them to win.
First 15 minutes I thought here we go pressures off and we’re giving it a go. It then just turned into every other shite boring and lacklustre game we’ve had to endure this season.
Play the young lads as it can only benefit them and there’s no point dragging them all the way down there if you intend on playing a loanee striker instead who we already know about.
Next season has to be much better!

Singing section?
at 02:17 3 Apr 2022

It’s a good idea that they’re trying to work this in.
Over here in Canada my local club has a standing “singing section” behind the goal and it’s great.
They’re the cheapest tickets in the ground and everyone there wants to get an atmosphere going.
Hope it takes off and improves the match days.
Can’t make it any worse I’ve being to funerals with more atmosphere than spotland sometimes.

This is getting beyond frustrating. We’re so easy to play against and so predictable for the opposition to set out their tactics.
We kept persisting with the same useless and predictable tactics expecting different results.
Every game ultra defensive line up and just look bereft of ideas and fight.
Newbys lack of conviction in tackles and the avoidance of any kind of 50/50 is really pissing me off. He’s got zero end product and gives the ball away so much.
Mcnulty should never play a professional game of football again and is absolutely beyond past it!
I’d rather set out attacking and really go for it every week than watch this boring predictable dross every week. Much rather have a go and lose 4-3 than watch us go down without even so much as a shot on goal.
The current keepers are two of the worst I’ve seen for Dale in recent history and are truly dreadful.

This team are inching. Their way to relegation and don’t look like they’ve got the fight and desire to stay up when push comes to shove.

Nothing can describe that game more than just dreadful!!
Just all over the place at the back and a keeper who should not be playing professionally.
Lynch is one of the worse keepers I’ve ever seen to pull on a Dale shirt.
Just not good enough.

Barrow vs Dale: Match Thread

Thought we had the best chances and shaded the game.
Stupid unnecessary penalty given away and almost fell back into old habits.
Pitch was looking heavy as the game went on and you could see it tiring some players.
Graham always looks like he’s running in treacle and players just seem to breeze past him with the ball too easy.
All in all I’m happy with the points return over the last few games and we’re heading in the right direct in the league. This team can do much more than it sometimes shows and could easily end up in the playoffs if we learn our lessons from regular mistakes.
I’d love to see us go for it a bit more at home and go two up top and stop playing 5 at the back.

Dale Trust membership 21-22

Just became a member for the first time in my 24 years watching Dale.
It seemed like the right thing to do in light of the current situation involving those running the club.
Only way we regain control is by coming together as a fanbase.

I’ve never know a guy lie so badly. You can see right through his bullshit!
Why would he expect anyone to believe a word he says after the sly contract shenanigans he pulled.
That clown will be the death of RAFC as a club if he’s not removed.

Contracts
at 17:33 29 Apr 2021

Given we’ll definitely be in league by the end of this weekend in my opinion:

Lynch - OOC (offer contract would do alright in league 2)
Wade - 1Y ( will sit on the bench)
McLaughlin - OOC (has proven to be injured more than fit, pay as you play or nothing)
McNulty - OOC (coaching role on severely lower money or see you later thanks for your service)
McShane - OOC (just not fit enough for the money spent, again pay as you play)
O'Connell - OOC (whatever is needed to sign him up again. Can’t see him staying though)
Dunne - OOC (1Y OPTION) (complete unknown ability as we’ve not seen him.)
Keohane - OOC (sign him up and proven his worth & consistency this season, real asset in league 2)
Morley - 1Y (will do really well in league 2, unless the thought of cashing in on him is on the cards)
Ryan - OOC (massive waste of money since the day he signed, another injured more than fit)
Dooley - OOC (may do a job in league 2, personally don’t think he’s good enough for league 1)
Lund - OOC (an absolute given that you’d try and get him signed, although I think he’ll leave)
Shaughnessy - 1Y (think we’ll see the best of him in league 2)
Grant - 2Y (likewise I think he’ll be a real threat in league 2)
Newby - 1Y (think he’ll tear league 2 defenders a new one)
Done - OOC (might do a job on reduced terms in league 2 as long as he’s playing up front)
Bradley - OOC (not really seen anything of him)
Hopper - OOC (not really seen anything of him)
Rathbone - 1Y (will be a cut above in league 2, but I think we’ll cash in on him due to being in his last year)
Brierley - 2Y (will be gone into another teams u23’s if the reports are correct)
Baah - OOC (not a chance he’ll stay and again if reports are correct he’s off to watford)
Humphrys - 1Y (will be one of the top scorers in league 2 but think he’ll be off)
Beesley - 2Y ( looking forward to seeing more of him and his work rate is fantastic)
Mulvey - OOC ( he’ll be back in non-league somewhere)
Odoh -1 ( been injured since he signed so we’ll see what he’s about next season)

There’ll be lot of changes over the summer. Personally think our current board will try an sell any contracted assets we have and will offer pathetic contracts to those we would want to keep knowing they’ll say no. Then they can say that they’ve rejected a new contract and make themselves look better.

It’ll be an interesting summer to say the least I think.

Chris Dunphy Return?
at 16:04 27 Mar 2021

We can only hope that this comes to fruition.
First job would be sacking the completely clueless and spineless Bottomley! His relationship with Dale fans will never recover after the shady dealing of extending the Managers contract without the knowledge of the fans. I for one won’t be able to get past that with that clown. To then leak it as some kind of accident at the fans forum was just spineless and unprofessional.

I Dunphy I trust!

This is one of the most pathetic and inept performances I’ve ever seen from Dale in 20 years!
So much lack of effort and desire to stop them from just doing what they want.
Absolutely disgraceful from Rathbone in getting sent off completely unnecessarily and being banned for the next three games.
Completely toothless in attack!
Manager brings a defender on when we go 1-0 down against bottom of the league at home and only brings a second striker on in the 90th when we are then 2-0 down.
This team will go down bottom of the league with an absolute whimper.
I’ve lost any confidence that this team / management team can stay up.
I can honestly see this Dale team losing every single game until the end of the season.
Total embarrassment!
I’ve had enough and that performance was Very Colman level play.
As the old song goes “we’re going down like a Russian submarine”

What I really just don’t understand is why when after 62 minutes we are 4-1 at home, we don’t make changes until the 78th minute!! The games gone by that point. Why wouldn’t you just change it straight away, it’s not like it could get much worse at that point.
Also the piss poor stat of only seeing 32% of the ball at home tells you all you need to know about just how s**t we are at the moment.

Camps & Hendo
at 21:04 23 Sep 2020

The most gutting thing about our paper thin squad that lacks quality, is seeing the likes of camps & hendo start the season on fire.
Camps banging them in for Fleetwood playing in the position he likes best just behind the striker.
Just shows how much we wasted his talents constantly playing him in that stupid holding role in front of the defence.
Hendo doing what he does best scoring goal on a regular basis.
Dropped an absolute bollock letting them both just fizzle their contracts out.

Let’s be honest and admit this is just sh*t to watch.
Keep the ball without actually doing anything with it! At one point the stats read 73% possession, 0 shots on target and losing 1-0.
The next possession stat that popped up was 74% and losing 2-0.
You have the Dale commentators saying how good we are playing and that it’s all Dale! You’ve got to be having a laugh they haven’t looked worried by us once in this game and we haven’t threatened their goal once with any kind of real chance.
We must be one of the easiest teams to play against in the entire league, when they know all they have to do is let us have the ball and then counter because our defending is a joke.

Wycombe Match

That game was crap from the 1st minute to the 95th.
Everything we did was too slow and with not threat.
Williams is a good midfielder but an awful centre half. Jimmy Ryan is yet to impress me in a Dale shirt, everything he does in slow and only goes sideways or back.
I really felt for Rathbone and RND today because they ran their bollocks off for the team with no reward.
That may have been the slowest and most inept front line I've seen in a long time for Dale. No creativity and not a chance of beating their man. Even Hendo looks to be a couple of yards shorter for pace this season.
My big worry is that injuries to the squad have already caught up to us in September. It could be a very long season from here if we don't get a young decent striker on loan in Jan.
Hopefully it was more of an Old Trafford hangover than what we would usually see for the rest of the season.
Up The Dale!

Personally I hope Bolton get everything they deserve for the years of spending beyond their means. I hope they get spanked every week and get relegated to league 2.
After talking to a few of their fans last time they were in this division with us, I can't say I've met a set of more arrogant fans ever. Believed they had no business being in league 1 and if they don't smash every team by at least 2 or 3 they're playing shite.
League 2 would be a great eye opener for them fans I had the pleasure of meeting that day.

Wanted this tie in any cup my entire life and now it's come along I can't go due to not living in the country anymore.
Won't be missing any of it though I'll be watching somehow or at least listen cheering the boys on.
Can't wait for this well deserved tie against one of the top teams.
