I’ve just looked up Neil Sears in LinkedIn. He looks way overqualified for the Bury job going off his profile. And, going off previous employment, he must be getting paid a fortune. |

Liam Kelly starring for Crawley last night. Could he have been managed better by Stockdale and Bentley? |

Erm….how old is your club? Twelve months? Our club can boast unbroken history going back 117 years. |

Bury aren't the only phoenix club who have failed to meet the expectations of their fan base this weekend. Macclesfield, with full time staff, lost to Marine in the playoffs today and so the latter will play in NLN next season. |

To be fair, there were apparently nearly 900 there today which is more than double the last home attendance. And Cornwall would have brought hardly anybody. |

Did anyone else notice the ultimate gesture by Bromley skipper Byron Webster? Before taking the winning penalty he put on an EFL captain’s armband. |

Punchard is a rather apt name for someone sent off for fighting. |

Looking at all the prematch social media stuff from Hornets it was £10 for every adult irrespective of if you had a Dale season ticket or not? Hornets were expected to win but still had to rack up the points. |

Bromley win 4-2 on penalties. Been some crap spot kicks over the weekend. Over 23000 there as well which is more than anticipated by me a week ago. |

Just to prove that basic divisions still exist some Bury supporters on X are claiming that the people brawling were “AFC fans” who only got tickets as the system for allocating them was “rigged” in their favour. Should be easy for GMP to identify them as surely they have contact details for all 350 of them? |

I thought the funniest thing was that the streaming to Gigg Lane apparently started buffering as Bury were scoring and so the fans there missed it. Mind you, “big screen”? Bloke across the road from us has a bigger telly on his chimney breast. |

He came on loan during the Bentley era but didn’t play due to injury? |

They’re obviously anxious not to repeat the mistake they made with Conn-Clarke. |

The Wythenshawe players shouldn’t need much motivating with all this going on. Why should they give up hard earned right to play at home? |

Is there any guarantee though that a subsidy would cover all costs of staging a game on a Tuesday night in November? |

I believe that all clubs, no matter who they are, still have to fill in an entry form every summer. No one is in the competition automatically. A bit archaic I know but there’s nothing to actually stop any of the “bigger” clubs from participating. That won’t happen of course because they still want to try and win it but only on their terms. |

It would never happen in a month of Sundays that he’d come back but Joe Rafferty has been released by Portsmouth. Perhaps more realistically centreback George Ray is leaving Barrow. Played 41 times last season in a pretty strong defence. Apparently noted for aerial dominance amongst other attributes. |

The merry go round continues. Former Dale player Ged Brennan has walked out of Morecambe to become assistant at Accrington. No April wages paid at Morecambe and he’s the second manager to leave there voluntarily in six months. |
