crowds are shite this season , cant see that much difference in NL tbh - maybe less away support from some of minor teams from down south but a good few clubs with good away followings - Oldham , Notts County, Chesterfield, Halifax, even Gateshead would bring a decent following. Could be some cracking matches with good crowds imho to produce good atmosphere lacking this season

Yep , got to agree, as a big Boris fan myself I think DC has to go , he is a real liability and has few if any likeable qualities. He can only do harm to government and needs shifting asap.

Boris update - Sunday 10th May at 7pm
at 17:48 12 May 2020

FFS, some people are just so politically motivated they just have to criticise anything Boris does. If you do not understand 'stay alert' when a silent and invisible virus is killing people often because they fail to observe common sense precautions then we are all doomed !

Coronavirus
at 14:12 12 Mar 2020

Just heard a few youths / early 20's guys laughing about coronavirus, saying just like a bad cold and they would soon get over it, still going to pubs and clubs etc, not bothered at all. Problem is when they visit their parents/grandparents and unwittingly pass it on to them then the worry starts. None of them said they have increased washing of hands etc, just that they didnt think it would effect them. Silly boys !!

What a total plonker ! Must have too much time on your hands BDMC after Corbyn got such a beasting in the election. Better off with posts about endorsing those champagne metropolitan millionaire socialists Starmer and Thornberry for the leadership of your precious Liebour, or more like R Long-Baily and her revolutionary deluded Momentum supporters. Then again you could post about football matters....

If Corbyn had given northern MP's a free vote on Brexit earlier in the year it would have been boxed off and probably Labour would have won the next election, or at least won a coalition government but it was a grave error to ignore the democratic vote by eventually taking a neutral stance when so many core voters voted leave. Probably the hand of McDonald, an arch remainer, was forcing Corbyns hand there.

Old working class ideas no longer work these days, society has moved on. Many manual workers earn significantly more than white collar workers, self-employed people from tough estates can find more in common with Conservative policies than Labour ones, particularly re tax and benefits. Labour needs to get back to representing ordinary people who work hard and want to be rewarded if they will ever come back from this beating, but as long as the membership is full of revolutionary radical socialist idealists a million miles from reality this will not happen any day soon. That is why the Tories have done so well in northern industrial heartlands - people no longer identify with what Labour has become: a socialist Marxist nightmare.

Oh, btw, I voted in Wardle Library yesterday, and have just returned from getting drenched on long dog walk at Tandle Hills, its just that the world seems a brighter place today despite the weather lol.

In answer to the OP original post, Boris was clearly well advised to avoid the bullying style of Andrew Neil, he did not need to be humiliated like the others were. Nothing against robust questioning to hold people to account but Neils style was to not allow anyone to express their own views across a range of issues but be made to squirm over a very narrow and specific issue the Neil wanted to embarrass them over. (Fair play to Neil though on the BBC through the night, much fairer and open).

Jon Ashworth was totally correct what he said and was leaked, despite his feeble attempts to say he was joking. Labour totally neglected the 70%+ seats that voted leave, eg Grimsby, Stoke etc and the election was always gong to be payback time there.

Corbyn and his rag bag Momentum radical socialists were living in a bubble, manufacturing cheering crowds of brainwashed misguided supporters to look as if he had mass appeal when in effect everyday normally loyal Labour supporters were horrified by his past, anti British viewponts, deliberate attempts to prevent Brexit and concerns over the economy with his ludicrous promises which would have bankrupt the country within months.

When places such as Leigh, Wakefield, Blyth, Workington, Darlington, Grimsby, Stoke etc go Conservative you know the country does not want radical socialism and freebies for the scroungers but wants a decent economy, controlled immigration and law and order.

The ridiculous lies about the NHS came home to roost - Corbyns insistence it was 'for sale' was pathetic , as was the attempt to try to use the document about possible future trade talks with USA as 'evidence', which it clearly was not. Same with the woman putting her son on hospital floor to take a photo of him - we all know the NHS is under pressure, but as the lady in question stated, the child got excellent treatment from doctors that night. The problem is 10 million more people in UK since 2010 puts a strain on the public services and this is the real reason , not underfunding.

Anyway, onwards and upwards, Liebour totally exposed as out of touch revolutionary socialists when UK is screaming out for middle ground sensible leadership.

Strange how lots of blue collar workers now vote Tory and middle class graduate Guardian reader remainers now vote Labour - maybe the class was is over eh ? , working class no longer exists in this modern post manufacturing society ?

Also well done Colin Lambert ! His Brexit votes helped turn Heywood / Castleton Middleton blue, who would have thought it ?

Go Boris !!!, oh what a beautiful morning, blue skies everywhere lol !!

For what is worth, I totally accept the lad on the hospital floor was genuine, but it does not explain why he was on the floor as he had a chair/trolly to sit/lie on ? So why did his mum put him on the floor and then take a photo on her phone ?? Highly unusual behaviour in my opinion, but just the thing to give old Steptoe a boost by his chums in the Mirror. Then Liebour send rent-a-mob activists to hijack a government minister outside Leeds hospital, again bully boy tactics.

Boris handled it badly, should simply have agreed it was not acceptable but he was clearly ambushed by biased journalists as usual.

Better news with Jon Ashworth today, only saying what we all know, but then again he is the shadow health minister ffs ! Then pretending it was all a joke, to which Steptoe agrees. Just read or listen to the comments, the only jokes are JA and JC !

Pathetic attempts by Liebour to bleat on about NHS to deflect from them stopping democratic decision of Brexit.

Funny also we havent seen much if anything of those obnoxious 'key' Liebour stalwarts Abbot and Thornberry, I wonder why ??? - keep wheeling out the local girl Rayner as shes easy on the eye and to be fair puts forward a decent, if flawed argument.

Where does the lie that 4 million children are in poverty come from btw ??? Another exaggerated spurious Liebour claim.

Just need to put Boris in on Thursday and hopefully remove Tony LLoyd from Rochdale - probably only 1 of these will happen though !

Wow, some fun and games on here tonight ! , I simply post in good faith my own views, sometimes opinionated, sometimes a bit glib but always genuine. You can tell when you have won when anyone with an opposing view resorts to personal insults to someone they do not know. The typical lefty revolutionary view is if you don't agree then fling insults and threats out to anyone with an opposing view. Highly amusing.

FP , FFS man , get a grip ! You have really lost your grip on reality ! yes Rochdale is a shithole, but it's our shithole and if we want we can call it out as such. But Rochdale voted leave, democracy eh ??

The EU has done nothing for us as a country or town, it benefits big (German) business.

My earlier post was alluding to Greece and Ireland as examples - Greece suffering tremendous problems as a result of gross tax avoidance and awarding grossly inflated pensions to state employees. The result , German/EU bail out but tied to Greece purchasing trains and military hardware manufactured in Germany, result , further debt to Greece, huge boost to German economy. EU response, bigger bail out, tied to German banks (Greece wanted Grexit but could not afford it). Who benefited ? EU and German banks and German manufacturing of course.

Ireland, huge net recipient of EU funds, especially farmers who got mega rich on the back of this. No wonder they prefer EU to UK as it's the EU that butters their Irish bread !

But Uk continues to pump money into this broken system to benefit Irish and French farmers, help build remote bridges in Scottish highlands that hardly get any traffic and give countries such as Luxembourg huge net payments whilst we get funding for obscure projects rather than use that money for our own public services - a busted flush !

The EU is corrupt beyond belief, Corbyn knows that and is at heart for Brexit ( he has always been critical of benefits to financial institutions) but due to Internationalist remainers in party is outnumbered so adopts a cowardly neutral stance - proposing a customs union Brexit which will please no-one, so if there was to be a referendum , Remain would win by a mile as his Brexit would be unacceptable to the majority of Leverers).

So , on to tonights BBC debate on TV. IMHO Boris smashed it - Corbyn was rattled and resorted to cheap jibes which failed miserably. His insistence on US trade deals with UK is pathetic - nothing wrong with preliminary discussions, but the whole Brexit idea is tariff free trade with rest of world, not just USA, EU included.

Well done Boris ! 17.4 million are behind you ! Falinge Parka, get some medical help sunshine !

Not enough time to give a full response FP as am going out but quickly, the EU , in my opinion , has morphed from a trade alliance towards a political federation of European states that benefit big business and financial institutions, particularly in Germany who bankroll other countries but lock them into trade deals thaytonly benefit German companies. Other countries, such as Ireland plunder the EU treasure chest hugely and have grown wealthy on the back of it , however UK is a huge net contributor to theses funds, we only get a fraction back and this is tied to initiatives that are not priority ones nationally, so we would be financially better off and also able to forge free trade agreements around the world. The EU needs us more than we need them , our wages are too high to make us ultra competitive so it benefits other countries more than the UK, add to this the political corruptness of EU institutions and EU law trumping UK law, then to me its a clear cut case to leave. Short term pain for long term gain is my democratic view. I could add much more but thats for another time.

Upheld a democratic decision. I voted leave but would have fully respected the result if remain have won and not demanded a recount because I arrogantly assumed that the people who voted the other way did not know what they were doing ! Comedy if it wasnt so pathetic.

Bullying is always wrong, the abuse of power to humiliate others for their own perverse gratification. Nothing wrong with robust debate as long at it fair. Snowflakes are upset by the truth and winge if they don't get their own way, nothing at all to do with bullying.

Mirror is a throwback to Arthur Scargill rhetoric, bigging up Corbyn lies in bold each day, Guardian is the Islington Socialist bubble mouthpiece, the voice of champagne socialists with radical ideas but comfortable upper middle class dinner party lifestyles. Both the same in essence, peddling old fashioned irrelevant class war nonsense.BBC is Liebour through and through, no doubt about that !

Andrew Neil is an obnoxious bully. He takes pleasure in abusing his position to humiliate those he interviews by ignoring 99.99% of what they stand for and relentlessly focusing on tiny controversial aspects that he knows will make the interviewee very uncomfortable. His key focus is to embarrass and ridicule politicians by not allowing them to articulate their own responses. The way he used his time at end of Farage interview to character assassinate Boris was disgraceful. Why should any politician allow themselves to be slaughtered in public by such a bully as Neil is beyond me - more fool Corbyn and others to allow themselves to be manipulated in this way.

As for the TV media in general , the pro-Liebour bias is astonishing ! , The news usually starts showing Steptoe being cheered by his rent-a-mob Momentum left wing radical socialist rag-bag army who have been strategically mobilised to make him look as if he is popular whilst then showing some uncomfortable footage of Boris, usually being hi-jacked by a Liebour activist plant. The domination of the news when Corbyn revealed the non-event of NHS trade with US was pathetic - nothing at all to show government attempts to sell off NHS , just a few preliminary wish lists from USA, no agreements at all, yet when Trump confirmed this, it did not make the first headline. BBC especially biased.

Anyone can promise the earth and it sounds great - free broadband , Steptoe says industries are not attracted to Cunbria due to lack of broadband infrastructure - try mountainous terrain , harsh winters, relentless rainfall and low population density Jeremy ! Free broadband, no tuition fees, , free childcare, free rail travel under 16, 58 billion to Waspi women who were told in 1995 of rise in pension age to equal that of men (its no wonder wonen have longer life expectancy historically as they retired at 60 on a state pension ffs - totally unfair IMHO), strange they are just rattling cages as election due , and true to form , Steptoe says he will find the 58 billion in a crude attempt to win votes. Problem is Jez, who the feck will pay for all this ? Corbyn often gives view everyone in UK is either a billionaire of homeless, reality is 99.999999% are neither and are not part of his revolutionary socialist agenda that would bankrupt the country in 6 months if the worst happened and he lied his way to power.

Tony Lloyd is another snake, I have sent him emails to which he has never replied on his failure to support to democratic vote in his constituency to leave the EU, slippery career politician with no interest in anything to political power.

Still undecided how to vote to keep him out - would vote Conservative if thought they had any chance but will probably vote Brexit as that is what the country and Rochdale voted for. People need to stand up the the Liebour bully boys who try to humiliate everyone who has a view which differs from their 1970's outdated view, we have all moved on from the cotton mills, heavy engineering and pits which all contributed to poor health and reduced life expectancy to a more modern service economy that is thriving under the Conservatives, shame some tub thumping old skool socialists on here haven't moved with the times as well.

Question for Man U fans
at 10:36 7 Oct 2019

Twisted Manure fans by a significant majority wanted them to lose to Citeh towards the end of last season to prevent Liverpool from winning the league. I looked at their deluded forum Red Cafe, and there was a massive thread about the match with the overwhelming majority wanting to lose at home to Citeh but just by a couple of goals. Says all you need to know about the Red shower of shite and their twisted biased arrogant fanbase. Great to see them humbled by the massive Newcastle yesterday, what a nondescript mediocre team they have these days, hope Liverpool win title just to piss off their horrible fan base.

Liverpool Result.....
at 10:25 8 May 2019

No genuine football fan can fail to admire that result, it was about belief and teamwork. Compare and contrast with the situation at Manure - arrogant over hyped individuals who do nothing for each other as a team, posturing and standing still, more worried about their social media images, their pathetic attempts at fashion lines (Lingard, Sanchez , Martial) - they think they are fashion icons and as a result results have been what they are - big lesson there and obvious to see as an outsider.

On another point, to read the majority of posts on a ManU forum (Red Cafe), wanting them to lose against Citeh so Liverpool would not win title was shocking - their twisted fans are so anti-scouse they would rather lose than see Liverpool win , they talk about protecting number of 'league championships' won in the past , ... tinpot fans.

Well done Liverpool, passion and substance over image and posturing.

The idea of a petition to change a referendum because you dont like the result is pathetic in my opinion, not the fact someone has an opinion different to mine, thats the richness of being in a democracy.

If Remain had won the public vote, I would not be asking for a second referendum or to backtrack on the decision just because my views differ.

It's about respecting a democratic decision even if you dont agree with it. No personal offence intended, it's the principle I find unacceptable, not to honour a democratic decision
