Dale central defender Rory McArdle will be forced to sit out Dale's return to last season's Play Off opponents Darlington at the weekend as he serves a one match suspension.

The one match ban comes after he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in last week's trip to Gillingham. He was able to play at the weekend in the FA Cup game at Forest Green, but now must miss out on this weekend's game with Darlo.

McArdle has been an ever present for Dale so far this season, and hasn't missed a game since the last league game of last season when we fielded a weakened side against Shrewsbury Town.

Rory will be available for selection again for the visit of Bournemouth on Saturday 13th December.
