Dale's teenage defender Scott Tanser has signed an extension to his contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2016-17 season.

After not making a first team appearances after his 2012-13 debut, Tanser has been a revelation this season and has been one of a number of high points of the season since making his full debut in the opening game of the season.

He's gone on to be an ever present in the side so far, and picked the Player of the Month award for August such were the plaudits for the nineteen year old's performances.
