Curzon or County

Dale fans have got a choice of preseason friendly this weekend as Keith Hill is splitting his first team squad in two and playing two games at the same time.

You can either watch Dale play at Edgeley Park in the first game between Dale and Stockport since the 2008 Play Off final where the Hatters ran out 3-2 winners. However, it is no exaggeration to say that the sides have had contrasting fortunes since then with Dale fighting it out in the top half of League One whilst County struggle three divisions below in the Conference North.

Dale fans travelling to Stockport will be see former Dale trainee Sam Minihan amongst their ranks. He left Worcester in the Summer following the completion of his University education and has signed a deal with County. Also alongst their ranks was one time Dale loanee Lewis Montrose.

There will be no segregation at Stockport, with all fans housed in the Danny Bergara stand with adults at £10, concessions at £7, under 18's at £4 and under 6's are free.

If you fancy a trip to Curzon, it'll be a bit cheaper for you with admission to the Tameside Ground at £6 for adults, and £3 for all concessionary entrants.

Amongst the Curzon Ashton ranks will be former Dale defender Matty Flynn.

And if you fancy being a bit of a show off, Google Maps has the distance between both grounds as being 21 minutes so I suppose you could attend both games if you really want to.
