With Dale needing a keeper in before the weekend, Jim McNulty has managed to bring one in on loan until the end of the season.

Jacob Chapman has joined on loan until the end of the season from Championship side Huddersfield Town.

The 23-year-old Australian keeper first came over to these shores to join Huddersfield in 2019 and has since had loan spells at Ossett United, Gateshead and Salford City while also playing twice in the Championship this season.

The need for a goalkeeper came as Tiernan Brooks, currently on loan from Notts County is away on international duty with Ireland U21's and it was expected that an emergency loan would be needed but this isn't an emergency loan and Chapman has signed until the end of the season.
