This result leaves manager Graham Barrow's future on a knife edge. A dismal display led to protests outside the main offices at Spotland after the match as supporters voiced their displeasure at the current events.

If Barrow goes after this it will be of no surprise, whichever side of the argument you stand on.

Banners were in evidence on both sides of the ground, for both sides of the current debate, but, credit where it's due, the "boo boys" of the WMG did get behind the team early on and Peake had a good shot saved by Tyler. Later Bayliss had a header which went over. A lovely crossfield move gave Peake another good shooting opportunity, which Tyler saved again. BUT, poor Dale defensive work allowed boro's Davis the chance to hit a super shot home.

A half time substitution was made with Holt coming on. I'd barely got to the back of the Sandy and Grazioli scored for posh 20 seconds into the 2nd half. About the only Dale attempt of note in the 2nd half involved a diving header from Farrell - good try but it went wide. Poor defending again allowed 'boro the freedom of Spotland to hit home a third. The " Barrow out " chants started up - this time there was no response from the Sandy.

This half from the Dale fans view was pathetic. Half hearted, poor passing, barely an attack and second to everything. We were soundly beaten by a none too spectacular side. Until it was obviously too late, the players got the requested support. Loyalty was not repaid. We are now 18th in the table, 8 points off the play-offs, ten points off the bottom.

On this day, the "out" brigade were vindicated. Directors, it's over to you.

PS - After match drinks took place between committed Dale fans who've been on both sides of the proverbial "fence" - all very civilised and expressing their views without malice. No banner ripping, abuse or violence took place. Those involved said their piece, put the relevant arguments and nobody was hit, threatened or anything else untoward. Long may this continue !.

Today's team:Edwards, Carden, Barlow, Monington, Bayliss, Farrell, Stoker (Stokes), Painter, Morris ( Bryson ) Peake, Bailey ( Holt ).
Attendance : 1,696
