With the premier league games being televised on American tv I'm sure it can't hurt to promote this club. And who knows if football has started to become bigger over there (I think the World Cup showed that) we could even find amazing talent for the future.

Its his job , he complies within the terms of his employment to do these things. To promote the club as the manager is one of those things I agree. But people making comments about him being the driving force is far off the mark. He was sent there by the club, just like he is sent players to train by the board. He does as he is told, which was one of the reasons the board found him an attractive proposition as manager. | |

The OP just wanted to congratulate the team for the effort they've put in promoting the club while on tour. Last season a post like that would probably have passed without comment, or with people falling over themselves to talk about how great Laudrup is.
It may well be part of Monk's job, but don't you get the impression that he's probably better at that side of things compared to Sousa for example? It's hardly the most important facet of his job as manager, but don't see why some see it as a negative. | |

Come on Darran, Garry is a pawn in the game, and all this is about controlling him, telling him and manoeuvring him in to positions that suit. Which is fine by me, the less understanding folk out there will see it as Garry doing it, and getting all the kudos. Others will see it for what it is, and understand a little clearer the real reasons why the board appointed him.
