They did a segment on Blue Peter way back in the day where they expanded all the way out, from a kid having a picnic in New York, to the observable Universe and the next week they went into one of his skin cells and went down to atomic level. That's a very neat interactive. It struck me listening to the news yesterday that the Mars orbiter has travelled 400 million miles just to get there and that's in our Solar System. It really is hard to imagine the distances in the observable universe.
Yet we have a small scale universe in our own bodies.
