West Midlands police have failed in their attempts to keep the names of an Asian sex grooming gang secret.Three of them were caught red handed sexually exploiting a vulnerable teenager in a hotel room.Two more were caught as they piled her with vodka in their car late at night.
The police decided not even to approach the CPS for prosecution in the case.
The judge said that it was obvious that they were engaged in sexual exploitation and said their excuses were lies and nonsence.
The only reason the men were brought to court at all was through a civil case brought by Birmingham council.
The police had requested an anonymity order to honour their duty to care to the a users and their human rights including the right to family life.Some of the men already had criminal records,one for a sex offence.
It is unlikely that these men will ever be prosecuted for these offences.The council however felt they had to act to obtain an injunction to stop these men continuing to exploit teenage girls.Needless to say the judge granted that injunction.
Even therefore after all the publicity relating to child abuse in Rotherham, Sheffield ,and Birmingham,the police are still putting forward every reason not to prosecute these people ,simply because they are of Asian origin.

What I said/implied was the police are frightened to investigate Asian sex gangs that vigorously in case they are labeled racist.
It's a well know fact that these gangs exist in areas with a high population of Asians, and have been for many years..
yet the the police and Department of Public Prosecution's lack of ambition to bring these b*stards to court, has virtually given them licence to carry on sexually exploiting vulnerable young white girls, some little more than children FFS,

lol, my first post was supposed to be a reply to NOTRAC. His OP contained the untruths and conjecture. These guys should be strung up for sure and I've no idea why the police aren't more proactive. They claim it's lack of evidence in this case (witnesses not being prepared to testify), but I don't know the details.
These grooming gangs do seem to be mostly Asian/British Asian/Muslim in origin and more needs to be done to bring them to justice. But we also need to remember that by far the greatest number of child sex offenders are White males . The view that these Asian gangs are targeting White girls also has been flagged up as not necessarily true. They appear to be more opportunistic. Race may play a role in making white girls more vulnerable because the Asian community tend to be more strict in their parenting and don't let their kids roam the streets at night. LeonisGod makes the point that there are far more child rapes carried out in this country by white men than by Asians.this is based on a parliamentary report that he then highlighted.
Well first of all considering that the Asian population only makes up 4.9% of the British population as recorded in the 2011 census, and the report is based upon convictions rather than reported rapes then that is not surprising.
The recent reports of child rapes in The Midlands have all estimated the perpetrators to be at least 80% Asian in ethniticity.
Whilst there have been a small number of prosecutions and convictions, surely even he cannot deny the fact that considering the large number of children involved(running into thousands) , and that almost all these children are reported to be white and British,one cannot help but wonder to what degree did the Police not act in these matters because of the worry of being called racist.It is impossible to leave it out in this connection.
The worrying aspects of the case that started this thread is that the police more or less caught these people red handed, but did not report it even for consideration for the DP.
The case was brought in desperation by the Local Authority to stop these men continuing to molest this child and other children.
The judge had no hesitation in finding these men guilty.
One has to wonder seriously therefore about the attitude of the West Midland police as illustrated, and by their non pursuit of similar cases over a long period I.e child rape is not one of our concerns...it comes below car theft and burglary.
