Had we played him at AM from the start of that season we'd have gone up.automatically IMO.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Where did he get that burst of pace from?!?!
I love the Dobster, but that burst of pace came from running next to Ian Harte!
Real shame that his speed of thought and play couldn't do it in the prem, but he was superb at the end of our promotion season. He could have eased our nerves by putting in that open goal at 3-1 in the final mind :) Hope he gets another club down the pyramid somewhere and has a bit more glory.

I'd be surprised if a Championship club didn't take a punt. Despite his struggles in the PL he's got a strong track record there.
Failing that Rangers could do a lot worse than take him home.

The only problem with Dobbie starting games was that after an hour he seemed to make some awful mistakes, watch a rerun of the play off final and you'll see what I mean.

That chance he missed to make it 4 - 1 😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷😷
I can still remember my Hibs supporting cousin sending me messages basically wondering what the hell we were playing at signing Dobbie... Was it £25,000 or something like that?
Then the commotion when we loaned him to Blackpool and up they went!
And then he was great for us that season in the Championship under Brendan! I'm still amazed that Scotland never took a look at him around that time considering some of the crap that made the squad back then.
I seem to remember a lot of divided opinion on here over Dobbie, but he done well for us. Succesive managers shipped him on though, and they can't all have been wrong.

Absolutely invaluable in the tail end of our promotion season. His goal in the playoff final came up on my timeline on Facebook the other day. I was laughing remembering my mate almost being chinned by some bloke in Wembley in the row in front after he fell onto his wife after tripping over her seat while celebrating the goal. I hadn't watched his goal in the semi since it actually happened until NeathJack posted it above. Bloody brilliant.
Hopefully he'll get picked up by a club in the championship. He's good enough although he might be a bit rusty after being with Palace.

One of the best footballers we'd had in years - plenty of skill and a good brain but what he was severely lacking was strength. Was easily bullied off the ball by gnarly defenders and used to flag badly in second halves. He was unfortunately weak and it stopped him from being a top, top player.
