Obviously there a no such competitions in the UK at present , so ITV have bought the concept and are trying to use the format over here, tweaked to feck.

The 2003 Communication Act states that if you watch or record live TV ( as it's being broadcast), on any device, then you need a licence. You could feasibly watch anything but BBC all year round but still be obliged to fund them. Catch-up and the likes of Netflix are different, you don't need a licence for those. If an inspector does knock on your door, once you establish who they are just close the door, they have no more authority than someone trying to sell you double glazing.

We don't pay for ITV (not through the TV licence anyway) However must say the format of this programme seems similar to the far superior Australian My Kitchen Rules
