Cortisone with anti inflammatory and a local anaesthetic in it he said.

It's much better today too.

Had a Cortisone in my shoulder a few years ago, shoulder was sore for days after, but after that passed my shoulder has never been better, don't suffer with it at all now.

Reading this always makes me think of Wayne Rooney who was told they were going to give him a Cortisone Injection and he is supposed to have said he would rather have a Ferrari.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

Have recently started having thigh muscle pain, left leg left outer muscle at the top.

Walking etc. no pain at all. When running the muscle sometime feels dead but no long lasting pain when I stop, or if I carry something heavy say dumbbells or shopping I have pain even if I carry in my right hand.

Doing exercise sitting down no pain.

Any ideas.

Guess would be tight hip flexors and flutes.

Maybe a tight ITB. Do you do any flexibility work?

They are meant as a diet supplement, not a cure for specific injury.

They seem to work for me but who knows it might just be a placebo.

I think Starskey and Max started to take them I would be interested to hear if they have found any benefits.

Not sure what you mean by flexibility work.

My routine for the last 6 months has been>

Circuits training class 3 times a week (I assume you know what this is but its sit ups, running, press ups etc) and then gym twice a week start off 5 minutes on rowing machine to warm up, a few stretching exercises mixture of 30 minutes on treadmill and always have it set minimum 1.5% incline (after being advised running at 0% not good for hips/knees) going up to 6 and varying it during the session at two minute intervals. Last 5 minutes will do sprints at high speed for a minute rest 1 minute and repeat. Then after that will do mixture of shoulder and arm on sit down machines and some work with dumbbells.

Holding static stretches for 15 - 20 seconds on all major joints spanning at least 10 - 15 minutes.

Do you do this? Define the pain. Is it sharp or a dull ache?

Thanks for your responses.

I managed to get into the call in physo in hospital this morning.

After trying various pulls and stretches on me they said my back was a bit stiff and that the pain was the nerve going from my back down through the front of the leg (can't remember what the nerve was called)

Advised doing stretching exercise for my back and hamstring stretcs by pulling my leg up behind me.
