Ayew also earned 3 pk's, including the memorable one he earned with sheer hustle and effort in our crucial victory at Everton.
I also think Ayew was one of the 3 or 4 most-fouled players in the entire PL last season, way ahead of anyone else on the club. That's another overlooked contribution from a player who some our fans seem to undervalue for some reason. I strongly feel that £20m still isn't even close to enough for us to be able to afford losing Ayew, even IF we have a plan to immediately re-invest it on the 1st team. |

Yes.
Maybe they were sold a dream. But given all the secrecy and the seemingly desparate way they went about selling up, im not sure they gave a sh1t when suitcases full of Benjamins were waved at them.
Kaplan and Levein are American businessmen sharking around pretending to be "sports fans". Imo, these are likely to be worse than Tan up the road as theyll have no qualms about cutting the cords if required.
Hopefully we're wrong, i bet we arent tho. Jenkins is the mouthpiece. Hes there to do the talking and find cheap signings while the corporates pocket the cash. | |

Not only will retaining our best players prove to be difficult as they question the clubs ambitions, but getting new ones to sign up is likely to be just as hard. If rumours are to be believed and we put relegation clauses in contracts, lots of players won't sign up unless they can have release clauses inserted in their contracts as they aren't going to want to stick around with a 50per cent drop in wages on the horizon.
There is a real danger the trickle of players leaving will become a flood, we could also have a squad of disaffected and disgruntled players, we could also have a disgruntled manager and coaching team.
There needs to be some positivity and it needs to come pretty soon, or it could be a long season! [Post edited 31 Jul 2016 0:41]

Then a lack of points made us relegation candidates so players were reluctant to come here with relegation clauses. After digging ourselves out of a hole on the pitch we should have been in a strong position but instead by clearing the decks before signing players we need to convince prospective players that we are not relegation candidates because we have failed with our other signings and high profile players appear to be leaving. We are digging a different hole, but just as dangerous.
