Oh Ash was a steal for Everton. Based on previous form and in the current climate he was worth £15 to £20 million at least. The problem is then do you take the cash and run or play the high risk game of somebody not bumping up their offer? We got some good money in. | | | |

The Tom Carroll link is strange, have to think it's related to the loan spell with us a couple years ago.
Decent player if we are getting him up cheap; but central midfield shouldn't be much of a concern right now except maybe a backup for Gylfi, which TC isn't. |  |

I understand the club's position but do you think they should consult with Guidolin first? He has a wealth of knowledge and he may already know the player he would like to sign. Just look at Rodgers at Celtic. He recommended Sinclair and De Vries which Celtic signed.
Maybe the club have been put off the Paloschi transfer? Got a feeling he was recommended by Guidolin.

Palochi was linked to us before Guidolin came apparently... like 1 month before so i'm not even sure he suggested him.
he has said in the past he tells them the positions he needs and the club look for 1. he makes suggestions but the club make the final call... that is what he said in a previous article. | | | |

They also think he'll turn into a nightmare in the dressing room if he isn't selected 1st team, while admitting he should be.
I know Loaners have clauses where they can pull guys back like we did with Barrow last season. But if we were the Loanees, we'd need to have a reciprocal clause to send him back in January, in case he flips out in Swansea. | |
