I wonder if something like Patreon would be a viable solution for something like this? It could even allow more flexiability in the way payments could work, or if people just want to throw in a few quid into a chip jar.
Honestly I don't think I like the automatic payment options... though more options are nice. For me though I wish there was a preservation of my membership, where I'd just get an email saying "ready to renew". Marked with a membership # or email address or what not. |  |

An email address is a unique identifier that makes everything easy. but a Membership number is good too. :) | |

If you just set it up and tell Alan that you have set it up then he will tell you if you need any further reference numbers
