Plenty will look at Leeds as a no-lose job. Do well, and your reputation will be enhanced. Do poorly, and you can always blame Cellino with relatively little damage to your own reputation.
It's probably the worst move Monk could have made though. Doubtless if it goes tits up there he'll find any reason to not question his own methods and won't learn from his mistakes as a result. So he'll eventually pitch up somewhere else and make them all again. |  |

Yeah his wife did not like living in an area where he ended up being promoted way above his ability to undeservedly get the much coveted title(s) i.e. Premier League/ex-Premier League manager. Add to that his multi million Pound pay-off and years of well paid employment at a club that was well and truly on the up with promotions, play-off finals and cup wins etc.
Geographically?...It could have been a lot worse for her? Living rather close to the Gower Peninsula as opposed to some non-descript bleak outpost where the only thing of sightseeing material is a derelict local industrial estate? |  |
