Good God no. That went about '83.

Bulldog was crude and basely offensive as those who may have seen it will recall, deliberately so as its sole purpose was to goad the DPP into prosecuting the editor, (who was none of those things in real life) giving him the opportunity to use the dock as a pulpit.

He moved on in time to become the hugely successful biographer of Belloc, Chesterton, Wilde, Tolkien and Solzhenitsyn. Funny how things work out.
