Went on a cruise to South America just before Covid.
Flew to Buenos Aires and we were the only Brits on board the ship!!
Stayed in Buenos Aires for 4 days in total and sailed to Santos, Itajai, then Montevideo.
Absolutely amazing countries to visit - and would go back for sure.

Brilliant

What are the tips for Buenos Aires please?

We are going to have 3 days there then drive to the Iguazu falls over 2 days maybe via Uruguay, stay there for 2/3 days then fly to Rio to finish off the holiday.

Just heard that Argentina's inflation is currently at 113 % Does that mean that the exchange rate will be massively boosted in favour of pesos for sterling or will the cost of living out there prove prohibitive and restricting for tourism?

Go see a big game if you can time it right.

Be an experience for sure.

Might be worth taking your spending money in the form of US dollars.

Can't see that happening the other half wouldn't be pleased, looking forward to seeing Plaza de Mayo after seeing it so many times on TV during the Falklands war

Seen a lot of Central America so South America next

Done 3 weeks travelling around Costa Rica & Panama and was lucky enough to visit the Angel Falls before Venezuela became a total no go zone

Not been there myself but my sister is one of the equine crowd and stayed on a ranch in Argentina , loved it there , holidayed for 3 weeks .

Read up some of the Argentine soldiers involved in the Falklands War spoke Welsh due to their Patagonia roots , imagine combat with them as a Welshman .

Wise not to mention Jeremy Clarkson and Top Gear if in Argentina .

In Buenos Aires, we visited La Boca, an amazing neighbourhood close to Boca Juniors - we were advised not to visit after 3.00 pm due to safety but fine in the daytime (go on an organised trip for this).
Visit the Recoleta Cemetery (resting place of Eva Peron), walk around the city centre, go to an Argentinian tango evening and relax with an amazing steak and Malbec wine.
