Swansea City : Same old story, same old result, not a lot changes 31st Jan 2024 08:00
Swansea City lost again last night, this time to Leicester City, 3-1. It was a slight improvement on the previous two games which saw the Swans ship eight goals, but that’s eleven goals conceded in three matches, fixtures which were all littered with incredibly naive passing mistakes. 0

I thought that this was as bad as the Bournemouth and Southampton games.
The tactics of pushing the defence high leaves huge gaps when we have little pace. The passing around at the back is what left us 24 without a win under Martin.
Our striker is woeful.
If we lose to Plymouth then we could be in trouble by March as we have tough fixtures coming up.
It all hinges on what business we can do in the next 24 hours and if Williams can have a change of game plan

It ended up score wise not too bad.
That shows what carps are in.
I feel sorry for Wood and Heyes
Our coach is not showing signs he can keep us up
Leicester took the piece all night

Only saw the bits on Sky but it seems we are constantly trying to play a style that only top European sides are capable of…and even they mess it up on times. Why the hell do we continue doing this with average skilled players? It’s not being brave….its being pig headed or just plain stupid for Gods sake.

I think the headline of this piece says it all. Getting concerned about the lack of progress even though we are only a few games into the Williams tenure. The performance was absolutely on a par with the Bournemouth & Southampton performances. If Huddersfield get a new manager bounce then we will be in trouble.

Our defence now is actually worse now than when Russell Martin arrived. Luke Williams could easily surpass Duff’s 8 or so games before his first win if we don’t get a result on Saturday. Let’s be quite honest here, if Humphreys, Ashby or Wood had come through our academy we would be looking to loan them out to the likes of Orient, Peterborough or Wrexham to get some experience at lower league level. Grimes & Fulton don’t work (never have), Cullen & Yates don’t work (never will).

If fans can see it why can’t the coaches ?

Grimes and Fulton has worked to some extent with the right team around them whether it be with more skillful and determined players or pace out wide but ultimately have come up short, you are right their time as a pairing has gone and they are not the answer or the future for the club.
