Terrible business. Regardless of what’s going on in the Ukraine, it’s likely that the people who’ve been injured and died here are ordinary folk.

Too soon to say. One theory on X is that the attackers were Islamists from the Republic of Ingushetia in the Caucasus (mug shots posted). Others are suggesting similarities with the 2002 Dubrovka Theatre attack by Chechen terrorists, or possibly the FSB (false flag), Who knows? Russia itself launched a whole series of strikes with drones and missiles on several Ukrainian cities last night, targeting civilian infrastructure and residential buildings. That is terrorism too.

Close to 500,000 Russians dead or severely injured fighting what Putin claimed was their main threat. Then they are attacked on Russian soil by a group that the US had been battling for 20 years.

Not according to most media sources, they give a lot of detail and comment on how the warning was dismissed by the Russians. Looks like the Russian powers ignored the warning probably out of distrust and as a result hundreds have been killed or injured. | | | |
