Anyone on here watch it? If so, thoughts?

I've noticed lately that when I'm setting up the pub for the day, I'm more and more likely to have this channel on in the background than the BBC or Sky News. Seems a lot more informative, and less agenda driven.

The unions are right wing?

Of course the unions are right wing, they give money to NuLabour a right wing free market party, that support the cuts and if they get in will continue with the cuts.

When the unions of professions that are in relative terms well off put pressure on the Government for more pay then that comes out of a pot that means less for people on benefits and less money for services etc.

Sorry, it must have been a different union led day of action that I voted to support that took place the other day then.

And isn't the NUT leadership of militant Socialist party members?

Civil servants and teachers aren't the most needy in society, they don't compare to people on benefits and the unemployed.

Unions only care about themselves, its the me me me society, when relatively well off workers put pressure on for more money in times of austerity its the poorest in society that lose out, some of these unions should be ashamed of themselves particularly the teaching unions [no shifts, no weekends, no Christmases, clean save warm dry environment, marvellous holidays, reasonable pay and pensions], its obscene they want more, its the poor that will suffer in the end.

This thread took its place in Bizarro World about two and a half pages in.

Poor, run-down Tory supporters afraid to voice their opinions on here and on the BBC. Bizarre

The unions are right wing. Beyond bizarre

All the main political parties are extreme right wing. Mental.

Stay tuned, folks.

The unionised cleaners, caretakers, kitchen staff etc. where I work are always complaining about the union fighting to improve our wages after the massive 1% pay rise we have received in the last 3 years because we are all so well off we would rather have a pay cut.

If man evolved from monkeys why do we still have monkeys?

No need for pay cuts butt, just raise taxes for those on a good screw, that a socialist principle for you, taxes should be raised to pay for services like health and education, you can't have something for nothing butt.

Since we don't have any left wing parties, people don't know what left wing policies are anyone, raising taxes on those that can afford to pay is a good one, i'd vote to have taxes raised even if it was mine if it went to the right places but unfortunately it will be like getting turkeys to vote for Christmas, so we will just get deeper and deeper into a downward spiral of our society being made up of haves and have nots.

''Millennium Commission that no political allegiance can be shown in the ground'', put that in your search engine butt, the first thing up on my search engine is ''Stadium outlaws `racist' banners. - Free Online Library'', feast your lamps on that - I think the article is from the Daily Post April 7th 2003, it tells the story of Football fans Hywel Roberts and Barry Jones from Caernarfon.
I remember it was quite big news at the time.

All political printed matter, including flags are prohibited within the Stadium and Grounds unless authorised by the WRU Group. Any person who is in possession of such items may be refused entry or ejected, and may be subject to legal action.

There we are butt, cut down to seize for you.

The full wording was:-
"10. All promotional, commercial, political and religious printed matter, including but not limited to leaflets, banners, flags, signs, symbols are prohibited within the Stadium and Grounds unless authorised by the WRU Group. Any objects or clothing bearing statements or commercial identification intended for "ambush marketing" are prohibited within the Stadium and Grounds. Any person who is in possession of such items may be refused entry or ejected, and may be subject to legal action."

You've seen the article by now I assume its says Welsh flags have been banned and go's on to talk about St David's Cross and the Owain Glyndwr banners, but notes that the Red Dragon flag is allowed.

The two boys had an Owain Glyndwr flag or flags.

The Owain Glyndwr flag is most definitely a Welsh flag as are the others, its ignorance on the part of others if they do not know they are Welsh flags, they should not be banned as they are national symbols and they are in no way offensive either, it was a disgrace what happened.
